Throttle body sync questions
Does it matter which of the vaccum lines I unhook to attatch my carb sync tool? Each TB has two lines
Why does each turn of the adjustment screw seem to have a delayed reaction on my carb sync tool? the change in mercury level is not instantanious as on a carb equipped bike.
Is there anywhere online that I can find a how to article with pointers?

I'll give you details tommorrow. It is pretty involved but easy. There are other things that need to be disconnected as well. it's late and my typing is getting garbled.

On the Z750S, from behind the bike, you place the vacuum lines on the right side of each throttle body. Plus, you need to "capp off the line that runs from 1 to 4 throttle bodies to ensure there is not a vacuum leak. They did not react instantly on my bike either. But, that seemed to make sense to me considering it is fuel injection.

You can get a manual on the following link. It has a diagram showing all you need.

Yes it matters, it shows you which in the manual. From what I recall it was the right of the two across the board but double check in the manual.

Oops, I guess I had better do it over. In my haste to get the job done without removing the tank, I used the left two on the left TB's and the right two on the right TB's

I propped the tank up about 1" in the back by the seat and then use a small flat head to do the adjustment. That way I didn't have to mess with the fuel line.

OK I cannot open the service manual download. Is there anything else important I should know or do I just unhook the right side vacuum lines, plug the hoses, and sync using the screw on top of each TB?

From what I recall on the Z, there is an adjuster in the middle of 2&3 that adjusts tb's 1&2 to 3&4 as pairs. Adjust the highest of 1&2 to the highest of 3&4 then only use the individual sync screws to dial in the remaining tb's.
I have never done the next part, but as prescribed in the manual, you are then supposed to make note of the position of the bypass sync screws, remove them, and inspect and clean the bypass screws and ports. Then reinstall them to the previously measured locations and recheck vac sync and adjust if necessary.
I don't have my Z manual with me right now, maybe someone else can confirm this. I have too many bikes, I can't keep them all straight
