Andy modifying his bike.... ....what a hoot ! Leave it to Alex to hit the nail on the head with that one.

I can see Andy, very late at night, locked away inside his garage, tinkering with his Suzuk. The phone rings, beads of sweat pooling up on his brow....h-hello......who's this calling......

It's the modification patrol. You've been targeted.

Andy hears a hellicopter outside just over the house. He opens the garage door, and a huge spotlight hits him.

Same here!! The one I'm looking forward to most is that 51st birthday...that's when I can tell my employer to kiss my a$$. At 47 in June, I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel, I just hope it's not an oncoming train!?

That is so cool Tom. Only four more years. Keep practicing those wheelies so you'll have something to do in your retirement.

    Hey Andy,
I was riding around on my B12 this weekend. Finally, no snow in Ohio. I thought to myse;lf..., self, it would be nice to be able to confidently exceute a good, controlled wheelie. I thought, maybe Andy's on to something.
Go for it! I may look into it myself.

Keep me posted Mike!! I can get the front wheel off the pavement on the ZRX, but to the balance point...I don't know. Tom

That is good to hear Mike. They really are fun. You have the perfect bike for it. Just don't be afraid to hurt the bike.

Today I did a stand up for about 1/8 mile. When I landed it, I looked at the speedo, it read 99 MPH. What a great feeling.

    Keep practicing.

I'm still kind of breaking in the Bandit so I'm kind of taking it easy. As I get used to it more and try some roll on front wheel lifts I think I may get the hang of it. There are some good deserted rural roads near my house, for practice.

I'm not ready for 99miles an hour standing on the footpegs yet

This is an update after two more weeks of practice...

First my right elbow got real sore. It felt like tennis elbow. I was using too much bounce to get the front end up. So I didn't ride for a few days to let it heal a bit.

Today I went out knowing I can't use so much arm strength bouncing up the front end. So instead of bouncing up at 60 MPH I tried 45 MPH (still in 2nd gear). The trick is to use more throttle, like almost full throttle.

Success! After a few oh ****s... I can now do 45 MPH 2nd gear wheelies without much bounce effort. I can also balance the wheelie much better now and the speed isn't going up that high. Most often I'm setting them down at 75 MPH.

One thing I noticed regarding bouncing is I use my feet just as much if not more then my arms.

Another thing happened today. I was doing a stand-up when suddenly my front end started to wiggle at about 75 MPH (sort of a mini-tank slap). I guess the wind gust coming at a right angle started the oscillation.
