Kind Sir....

.....if I were in your neck of the woods, I'd build that custom tailored saddle for your bike just to be a part of the project.

Will do man. I ride up to ATL often in the summer time - meet up with some of my streetfighter friends. I'll send you a PM for the next ride up there.

....however, getting contour correct for where you are actually located on the pad is the issue. Also how the R6 seat base conforms to the trailing edge of the tank, & since this would be a tailored saddle, changing the depth of the padding, & the foam density for actual seat height.

Haven't you had the interior changed in the Buick? Seriously, us upholstery guys will work on anything, & a bike seat only takes 2 hours tops....

This is one I cranked out for my riding buddy, before & after shots. The perforated leather even matches his Dianese jacket.

I don't think we can say enough about the bada$$ custom mods on this bike . . . you give us all the inspiration to try it ourselves!!

I hope everything works out easily for you. Are you going to be a Myrtle Beach bike week this year?

Naa, I'm gonna skip Myrtle this year. I'd like to go, but I already have a few smaller trips planned for the May - July months. Such as at trip back to the Dragon next month, and also a trip up to Carlisle, Pennsylvania fro a large streetfighter meet. Between those two trips, and also the new baby girl on the way... I won't have the time or $ to go to Myrtle.

Seat came at lunch today. It fits great, but I will have to contour it a little in the front. I guess.......... the Z tank is a little bit wider than the 2007 R6 tank lol. The rear of the seat is perfect though, and the length of the tail is spot on! I can't wait to get off work!!!

Mounted the seat, and also made the mounts for the front of the tail. Then, I extended the subframe using 3/4" round stock. ITs very very very very strong, and will make it easier to weld on a new rear seat support. I hope to start making that tomorrow, and also the upper rear tail mounts. After I finish all that lol, I'll send the tail out for paint and send the front seat to the upholstery shop to have some surgery.

Pictures of the new mounts:
