Need exhaust ideas!
Ok guys heres the thing, I've these 2 tastey cans just going to waste in my shed but I think they might just be the thing to trick up my Zed.
![]() Only problem is where to locate them? I was thinking underseat like the Ixil ones, or maybe even stacked on top of each other on the left side of the bike? All suggestions welcome and if anybody has any photoshop skills then please feel free to do your stuff. ![]() ![]()

Maybe just use one and mount under belly. Just an idea.

Most guys that I've seen do that usually end up with some clearance issues, but it does look good. Sometime ago a guy over in Europe mounted a stock gsxr600 exhaust underneathe his Z, best I've ever seen, but he had to do ALOT of chop-cut-rebuild to get it to work.
http://www.riderforums.com/showthrea...t=gsxr+exhaust If you want to do something different the double-barrel shotgun idea sounds neat, as long as the cans aren't too big, then it would look awkward. Good luck and for god's sake post pics!!!! ![]()

You might be able to get away with both of them coming off the same side, depending on how heavy they are. you wouldn't want to create any balance issues! personally I prefer the under tail look, if I ever redo mine thats where they are going. Twin Two Bro's carbon fiber triangle pipes right under the tail!!!

Youuuuuu, could also bring all the primaries out the one side ( right side of the bike ). Bring the two right cylinders pipe up high on the right side like the Ixil's, up high under the tail section , and the left cylinder's pipe would cross over to the left side of the bike through just between the the rear tire and the rear shock and exit the left side down low.
But to make it work you would have to have the up high can stick out past the end of the tail section abit, and the left side, exit half way up the height of the bike, but not as long as the right side. Remember, you have to keep the secondaries all the same lenght. I have seen a 1984 1000 Intercepter done this way, mind you it was a V engine, but it did look sweet. This is alot of work though taking this road, but the end result would make it worth it, also depending on if you have the equipment to carry this out. Just thinking outside the box. Z ![]()

The cans are 21 inches from tip to tip and 4 wide at the moment but I will be cutting them to suit and the weight is not really an issue as they are carbon fiber and have no DB killer in them.
A buddy of mune suggested 1 underseat with the other coming up the side like the GP bikes from a couple of years ago. Might work no?

Cut them down... and mount them both underbelly. Dual underbelly would be the shizzle. I'll do a photochop later today of it.

I really like this idea the best. I hate undertail exhaust so I'm not going to recomend that.

Yeah do the double side thang. I've yet to see that on a Z pretty sure.
Too bad the underslung doesn't work. That Buell style would look cool ![]()

I've seen two Z1000's with double barreled exhausts on the right side - I personally don't like that look. I forgot to do a chop of that picture for you... I'll try to work on that this weekend. Also, dual under belly is possible with a Z - atleast the 2003-2006 model anyway.
