Best and lowest bars?

Well thus far I love my bike. only thing I have a problem with is the height of the bars due to joint problems in my arms. So I'm looking for some opinions and experience in getting a new bar that's alot lower and somethin reliable. i dont wanna do clip-ons cause it's too low for just cruising around, but I need my hands a couple inches lower atleast for highway riding. So let me know what's out there that could help me.
thanks
Kipp

You'll get alot of people recommending the Renthal Ultra-Lows. I have em, they're lower than stock, and the dark grey looks 10x better than the gold.

Here's a picture of the Protaper Kawi Mini bars . . . just a tad bit lower but you notice it more when riding and entering turns

Protaper's site has all the bends and measurements listed making it very easy to find the exact height, width, and pullback you want. In addition, Protapers cost way less than Renthal for similar bar. I paid 55 plus tax for my SE's and the comparable Renthal was gonna be 89 plus tax....that was a no brainer decision for me.

When I looked into it The Ultra Lows was what I could find that would fit with NO clearance issue's.

The Renthal Road Flat bars. A height and rise of 0.

As far as what I've got, I replaced with the Renthal Streetifighter bend. It was between the Streetfighter bend or the Road lows. But I figured that I'd go with the Streetfighters because they're a little higher and would be better for long distances.

anybody have a pic of these installed? also is there anything else that needs to be replaced when doing the bars (i.e. grips, bar ends, ...)?

The grips are usable again. You won't have to take off the throttle grip, just the left grip. You might need bar ends, but I'm not 100% sure. I still don't have bar ends on my bike since I've put the new bars on. I don't think you can use them again though because the screws thread directly into a hole in the bar where a little plate looks welded into the end of the bar. But it might be possible if you get the screw in tensioner type thingys...

Drag bars are the lowest, I have them on my bike and am very happy with them. I had to get taller risers, but it was worth the money, drag bars run about $20-25, risers I think that I got for around $80....

This post is old, but i will answer you anyway!
LSL streetbar 00. You will not need any risers, just take your old bar off and mount this one. This bar has only a rise of 45mm and a pull back of 90mm. The width of the handlebar is 81cm. It works great with all cable routing etc. No problem at all. I use it at my Zed!
You can buy them in different colours to, gold looks great, i currently run it in black though.
