Good stuff, man.
Here are updated pics with new wheels. I'll make a thread with details later.

Very, very nice.

Any issues with swapping the rear wheel? I thought the axle diameter for the ZX10 was 20mm and the Z1000 was 25mm. Did you have to create any spacers to get the wheel aligned and mounted correctly?

Got it. Thanks for the link and the details about the spacers. Great write-up.

If it can help others making their bike look better, I'm happy!
When I get bored of these wheels (or I just have spare time) I may try the ZX-14 wheels...

Always been a bit on the fence about the 03-06 "no shroud" look, but on the 07+ bikes like yours I def. like it without them. Getting rid of the "bug antennae" mirrors is a def. help too .

I was thinking about trying the ZX-14 wheels also (almost bid on a rear wheel last week that was on eBay). I've compared the part numbers between the 07 Z1000 and the ZX-14 and found that most of the rear swingarm and wheel part numbers match.

I think a ZX-14 wheel sway would be than the ZX-10...which then means you could easily (with the money) get some PVM or Marchesini magnesium rims

You should try the ZX-14 swap and then tell us how to!
I know that brake rotor is the same so no need to change the caliper... IMO, this should be a pretty easy swap to.
Of course PVM or Marchesini would look marvelous but they cost some pretty money!

Great looking bike, but not sure if I like the RAD shrouds removed? It give it a more naked look, but also makes the front end look a bit out of place. Over all you did a great job.

Thanks!
I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not without shrouds so I just gave it a try... And now I think it looks better without em.

Maybe someone already said this, but I think it would look awesome with some blacked out shrouds from a 03-06 Z1000. If you could make them work somehow.

Anyway I have to say this is my favorite '07+ so far! Nice!

Those are the kind of comments that make all the effort worth it!
That may be a good idea you have there, Someone should photoshop my bike with them on, or I could do it... maybe I will...

And what are you waiting to chop those pipes Jason?

Haha...ummm...ugh! I know I could do it, I wanna do it, but I might wait another year and a few more chicken scratches before I chop em up. Then I won't cry as much when I'm doing it
