Well...I've been super reluctant to make this post but the weather prediction is just not changing for the better. I've decided that I won't be attending this one. I don't feel I'm going to be very happy with only one good day of riding vs the long, boring ride out & back (in the rain). I guess I'll go ahead a restock the vacation time for future use; maybe another fall ride perhaps. Michael, I believe Throb is already out there & enjoying the beautiful weather they're currently having & is due to end when everyone else gets there.

For now but like you I'm keeping an eye on it. I think I'm still going to start the trip down after work tomorrow and spend the night with friends in C-bus. The weather seems to be moving towards lower % chance and more specific times. Which means we'll be able to ride around the rain. Unless Throb is leading the pack. Then we'll be following him in his frogg toggs right into it!

I'm in too. I think Friday may be possible as a good day. Saturday says a thunderstorm in spots so it may work too.

I am in N GA now. It has been great weather but rainy now. Looks like it should clear in a few hours. I will be in Maggie Valley tomorrow afternoon.

I'll be heading out at 7 am. Plan is to ride the scenic route down and get to Maggie Valley Thursday afternoon. Or maybe I'll change my mind and slab it some and show up tomorrow night. Only 542 miles on the superslab.

I made it to Maggie Valley yesterday afternoon. Had dinner and some adult beverages with the group.
Today we had an awesome ride in the morning then lunch in Little Switzerland. After a run down The Diamondback I split off from the group to begin my trip home. About 10 minutes after leaving the group the skies opened up. I got dumped on 3 times on my way back to Hillsville. :-)

Left Hillsville kind of late due to heavy fog. Jumped on the BRP at Copper Hill and rode it to around mile marker 10 before jumping off on 664. Due to a late start and extended time on the BRP I made it home around 7:30 this evening, the last half hour in a thunderstorm. It was a great trip once again. Had just a short time with the group but it was worth the ride down and back. 1315.9 miles total in 4 days.
