Probably a good idea. Some folks need to put in vacation time in January.

And i am going to make it this time no matter what. Tired of building up to it and bailing at the last week or two beforehand.

I dont know when it is but count me in. It cant come soon enough. Maybe this year we will have the first N1K or 3rd gen. Z join us. I dont think we have had a N650 join us yet either.

although I'm much more interested in twins and triples now, I still find myself looking longingly at the Ninja 1K. seems like the perfect balance of sport and distance capability. When Honda dumped the 800 VFR for the 1200 they left that arena ripe for a takeover.

As I am currently bike less I will probably be out this year. The wife and I have taken a couple bike trips to western Carolina and have been renting from Sportbikes4hire, we will probably do that again in May, that is unless you guys want to hold the ROTR out that way.

Don't know about Cali but this year should be less crazy for me and I will likely have at least 1 newcomer in tow.

    Thumbs up Hopeful...

I'm very hopeful about my attendance this year. So, with luck there will be at least one ZR-7S. Perhaps Kelly and Andrew can help me really up the ZR-7S count.

I'm with Throb. It would be nice to see at LEAST one Ninja 650. They have an active forum section, but, not many folks interested in meeting up. I also agree that a New Ninja1000 would be nice to see.

If, big IF, I were in the market for a new bike today... The Ninja1000 looks like it would top my list. It has nudged the Bandit 1250S from that spot. I never felt I needed a 1250 but, the Bandit was the closest thing to the ZR on the market until recently. I don't think I care for all the technology that the new VFR offers. I have to admit that the Yamaha FZ8 still talks to me a little as well. Although, I've never heard any "real world" feedback about how they are.

Sorry, back on topic. ROTR... Hoping that everything works out for my attendance this year. I've missed it dearly!!!

It is a sentiment that submariners of all navies shared. We had long enjoyed a reputation as nonconformists who hated the monotony of fleet service. We disdained the pomp and circumstance of sideboys, buglers, and holystoned teak quarterdecks. We embraced the hardships of life in a steel tube and the go-it-alone missions that submarines were designed to do. We were a fighting elite, and we knew it.

What roads do you guys usually ride on the ROTR ride? I have done the dragon and surrounding roads and they are fun. I have also been looking into riding the "snake" (421) as well which is about 1:20 from Wytheville. Just curious.

    Best Regards

Ah spoke too soon. I found the threads for previous years describing some of the routes. Looks fun.
