OK- Sorry for trying to stoke a challenge fire. I know you guys are both excellent riders and found it mildly funny that both of you were deferring to each others talents.

We all know (I hope) that ROTR is not a race. We need to all ride where you are comfortable and have fun. I know. But "keeping up" in the twisties is a fun part of the inherent competitive nature we all have in us. Sorry but it's true. We try to hold it back, but the adrenaline and testonerone just kick in sometimes.

I waved CBR600 Craig by me on Rt 16 this last time 'cause I thought I was holding him up and he could do a better job keeping up with Serp. But that killed me. And he's beating me in our NASCAR fantasy league too. DAMN HIM. And Serp, well, your talents are just another whole book which I don't understand it quite yet.

    Peace bretheren.

....Not quite sure what you're saying there Tom but I'm good with just laying low on 5.5 for a while. I slowed down on ROTR5.0 for a time and it was actually just as fun, except without the adrenaline rush. Got to see scenery and not have the fear of impending death for several runs. Good stuff.

The interesting thing is that the difference between "crazy I'm gonna die" speed and just "really fast but in full control" speed is only like 10 to 20 mph.

But I still gotta work on scraping pegs and getting my chicken strips wiped fully off. Little ways to go.

It's the bike, I just go along for the ride.
I still gotta work on scraping pegs
On the ROTR5 ride I never touched a pegs or anything else, come to think of it in the 40,000 miles I've had this bike I've only touched down a hard part once and that was at the Gaps caused by a dip in mid-turn.

That's what I meant Kelly. I don't have full coverage insurance on my current ride as I did on the ZRX. My little SV650S is my last bike for awhile and I intend to take care of it as best I can. I'm retiring from full time work in Dec. 2007....gotta take care of my little bike....

No Problem Tom. Could happen to any of us. I am doing my best to make the ROTR 5.5. I hate that I have only made 1 & 3. Although, they were just a blast. I hope it works out for 5.5 so that I can make the acquaintances of many other forum members.

By the way, did I mention that the members of this forum are, "HANDS DOWN", the best around??

It is a sentiment that submariners of all navies shared. We had long enjoyed a reputation as nonconformists who hated the monotony of fleet service. We disdained the pomp and circumstance of sideboys, buglers, and holystoned teak quarterdecks. We embraced the hardships of life in a steel tube and the go-it-alone missions that submarines were designed to do. We were a fighting elite, and we knew it.

My magic 8-ball says "outlook looks hazy" and "my sources say NO". Don't think I can make it, I would be in heaven if I could cuz the missus wants to make it out there as well, now that Vera says she is going it make my wife want to be there even more.
