At first I loved these boots. They were comfortable, had a good feel on the shifter, and were stylish enough to wear on my casual Fridays all day. But after 4 months, I've been through 2 pairs!

The construction on these is beyond sub-par. The second pair failed worse than the first pair. On the first, just one of the eyelet/loops busted where the string goes through. Second pair, the outer part of the string separated from the inner, then the eyelet/loop busted on those as well.

I have to give a big up to Cycle Gear though. When I brought back the first pair the just handed me the second. When I went in yesterday with the second pair, they offered to replace them with a different mfg. I sure as hell weren't getting these again! I was just going to ask for my money back, as I feel if you spend $120 on a pair of boots/shoes of any kind they should last way more than 1 month (2nd pair) or 3 months (1st pair).
So as soon as they get my size in, I'll be getting some alpinestar smx boots.

Get a real boot, your shins and ankles will love you. I've tried Icon gear in the past and they don't really last.

That's the goal

Call Icon.. They can only make better products if you tell them that something is bad. If they think everything is fine then they will not fix it..

Also if they are a good company they SHOULD do something for you! Let us know what they say.

Sent them an email...on their site they say you can only return stuff to where you bought it.....I haven't heard anything back from my email yet.
I'll update once (if) I hear back from them

Here is the only response I got from Icon after 2 emails.......

"Thank you for taking time to share your feedback regarding this issue. I will be sure to forward your email to our design team so they can read through your email and take a look into this issue. We appreciate you taking time to share your thoughts.
