Question Tour Master - Winter Elite Gloves

Does anyone out there have experience with the Tour Master Winter Elite Gloves? I have read in a lot of reviews that they are the best bang for the buck and that they are the warmest glove around. Also do you still have good mobility with the Winter Elites. I've got some Winter Gloves made by Olympia but I still have to wear glove liners underthem.

    Thanks in advance, Ben

I was about to reply and recommend you try Olympia. But then I read your last sentence. I've never tried Tourmaster gloves. But I have tried a lot of brands made by companies that specialize in more then just gloves, i.e. Joe Rocket, Technik, etc. And the Olympias seem to be the best.
Frankly, I am inclined to lean towards products made by companies the specialize in just one area. Olympia for Gloves, Sidi for boots, Fruit of the Loom for chonies...

Check the reviews at Motorcycle Gear Review. There aren't very many review on the Winter Gloves. But there are a few Tourmaster reviews...

Ben, I have a worn-only-once pair of Tourmaster Winter Elites, size Small. I bought 'em off eBay a few years ago 'cuz they were a steal. I have Olympia winter gauntlets that I really like, and have never wanted to go thru the break-in process w/ the Elites (they're stiff as cardboard when new), so the Elites have been sitting in my closet. I'll sell 'em dirt cheap if you're a Small. If not, anyone else interested? They DO look like super nice gloves; very sturdy and have a built in rain/cold cover that deploys from a zippered pocket, and a rubber faceshield wiper on the index finger.

Thanx for the info. don't get me wrong the Olympia gloves are nice and are warm at first but eventually the cold air goes right through the fingers. I was hoping to get a good pair of warm gloves where I don't have to wear a liner underneath. I'll definitely check out the gerareview.

Doug I appreciate the offer but I wear anywhere from a L to an XL so SM is out of the question.

I noticed in the Oct. issue of my AMA magazine they talk about the Winter Elite and the Cold Front Carbon glove both by Tour Master the Elite is $89. & the Carbon is $59.

Temps here in good o' Walhalla have been in the upper 40's in the early morning so fall is definitely here. Well officially at 1pm on the 22nd of September

I've also ordered some Liner Polartec Pants from Cabela's. The legs have stirrups on them so they won't bunch up. Not bad for $29.00

    two words: heated gloves

I have a pair of Gerbing heated gloves that are pretty nice. I have been out in them in sub freezing weather and the hands get pretty toasty. I need to get the regulator for them as they get too warm unless it is really cold out. I just unplug them when they get too warm now and plug em back in as my hands start to feel the cold again.
