    Wow! That is cool.

That has to be the most economical way to do that, isn't It? Other than something built by an owner.

That is about halfway insane, in a good way. That kind of speed,,power, and warranty? That's just cool.

It's too bad they could not have to talked to the Ford design team. The Ford raptor, truck, gets 450 hp from 3.5 liters.

This needed 6.2 to get 650. It's not quite double the displacement, but to only find an extra 200 hp for the effort does not sound that great so I wonder what went wrong..

It's sounds awesome and will probably run with the new Dodge Challenger 6.2 liter, 707hp car as well.

The difference is Chevy will warranty the car after running it on a race track. What we say is "You can run out the whole tank full as fast as possible on a race track, and have it fully covered by factory warranty." Nobody else..not even Ferrari..has a warranty like that! We are the ahead of Honda..and way ahead of Ford on reliabilty..and getting better. No manufacturer is more improved in the past 10 years!

HBK, if I dont give you a bad time, who will?

Its funny to think back to the cars in the mid 80's when they told us we could not have powerful cars, and pass emissions.

It took them a while, but todays cars are pretty amazing.

Now, "No manufacturer is more improved in the past 10 years! " is a bit misleading. The Japanese brands would have had to go above, and beyond perfection to be able to improve as much as Chevrolet...impossible as they always valued reliability, which is a new thing for Chevrolet.

I guess this chart is outdated? October 16 is a while back in history?

New ranking: The most reliable car brand is... | Clark Howard

Good news is Chevy kicked Fiats butt.

HBK, in all seriousness, Isn't it almost impossible for Chevrolet to be number 1 due to the volume they sell as well as being pretty much forced to compete in all segments of the market? For sure, they dont sit around working to be the 8th most reliable...

I imagine the truck segment to be tough to compete in? Buick is number 3, but if they had to build full size trucks, I would expect the number to drop?

With their sales numbers, and small problem really looks huge.

If we go to the extremes, why do you think Fiat is number..last and Lexus is number 1? And if Lexus started selling as much as Chevrolet, would their numbers drop, too?

I don't know if rcannon is wrong since I don't know what he claimed but the actual certified top speed of the 2017 Chevy Camaro is 198 mph.

The 2017 Chevy Camero's Validated Top Speed

"The Camaro performed its max-velocity runs last spring at Automotive Testing Papenberg in Germany, where the ZL1 logged its official 198-mph average while running laps in both directions on the 7.6-mile high-speed oval. That included a blistering 202.3 mph in the more wind-aided direction and 193.3 mph into the breeze."
Why do I ride? Because I've never seen someone jogging and smiling.

He said it was only capable of something like 180. I told him 190+.

I was just being obnoxious, and doing all I could to bother HBK.

Hes a smart person, with the patience of a saint. The Camaro argument was fun, but not nearly as good as 70's Kawasakis.

Thank you, Elijah, I knew the car was slow. I would return mine, and ask for a refund if it only ran 198 vs 200.0000001. Just like the Yamaha r6's 16,000 redline issue.

I gotta be honest, I love the look of the 2017 Camaro but I wouldn't waste my money on one. I'm sure it will live up to typical GM quality standards. The interior will be cheap and rattling within a year. I predict the headliner will be sagging by the end of 3 years. Thanks, but no thanks.

I have a 2011 Ford F 350 service truck. Non diesel. I just flipped over to 178,000 miles. The closest its ever been to a dealer is when I drive by on the street. Its still drives fine. The radio display died, but the radio still works.

Otherwise, its only ever had 6000 mile oil changes. If GM is building anywhere close to its standards, maybe its different now?

The build quality is better on GM vehicles than Toyota. I know this firsthand...having owned many Toyota over the years. This is something I never thought I would ever say!

I see trucks and cars with between 150 and 200k all the time with no rattles or squeaks whatsoever! Every Toyota I ever had turned into a rattle trap once they got between the 150-170k range. Keep in mind...I take great care of my vehicles..but I don't baby them!

Read any review you want...or go test drive anything built the last few years. I doubt you will be disappointed by any of them...especially not the trucks!

PS: The new Gen Camaro is built on the same platform, in the same plant, by the same people, with the same engineering as the other Cadillac ASV cars it shares it's chassis with.
