Just wondering if anybody has tried this air intake out. How does it compare to a hyper charger or tornado system? It's it worth it performance wise?

Well if you look @ my avatar you'll see I have a very similar model.
It's a knock off I bought from E-Bay. Havent had the other 2 but I like it fine.
It does hit your knee if you use forward controls though. HTH

Hmm , im 6'1 and I have the same intake and I dont hit my knee on it at all. Running mapam forward controls also. the intake is good, gets the job done. im not a huge fan of these crazy expensive intakes, waste of money imo, cant see how the expensive ones can do THAT much difference then the cheap ebay spike Intake me and others on here have.

well if you install this or any other intake you will have to intall a fuel processor such as a power commander, and im assuming you have an exhaust on your bike already. so with these 3 things commonly knows as the "BIG 3" you will definitely feel an increase in power. unleashing the true beast of the mean streak

I have V&H longshots and a fi2000 already. Im in desperate need of more air. I think y'all have answered my question. Thanks!
I just got the same type from eBay. I've looked all over the forums for installation ideas and I'm still a little lost. Does anyone have installation instructions or is there a thread I am missing for installing this? Thanks!
This link was helpful when I installed mine. It not too hard you might first check out Gadgets fix it page if you will be removing some of the plumbing and the left side dog bowl and doing the reed block off plates otherwise as you work through it if you ask specific questions someone on here will be able to help. When I bought my first spike on ebay the tube that goes into the cone air filter did not have a lip for the set screw to catch on and even though I loctited the set screw I lost my cone while riding. I would check to see if yours has a lip. If not I would recommend drilling out a hole for your set screw to go into along with locktite on the set screw. I bought both of mine on ebay but they were slightly different good luck.

Since Kapscomoto is just 20 minutes away from me, I decided to go look at this item.
I bought it and installed it.. total time was about 45 minutes (but I already had modified Air with the Woody mod so I did not have to take off the fishbowls or the connecting tube, etc)
Here are some pics

For the person asking for instructions... google "Woody Mod Mean Streak" and follow the instructions to take off the old parts (and the marble process)... the new parts just bolt on simply once you have cleaned the OEM stuff up
