Been thinking about trying one of these. Have any of you had any success making it even slightly comfortable? I was think about a custom gel pad for it, cut to shape, then covered with vinyl. I am probable going to talk with Aric Brookshire. He has done a few seats for members here. Here is a stock seat re-done by Aric.

Mines good if you are on a smooth road. Love the way the bike feels sitting that low.
I believe it is better to be seen than to be heard. Remember, they give out licenses to deaf people, but not blind people.
Hi Viz and Lights are better than loud pipes.
Go with closed cell foam and put at least a little bit over the gel pad. Otherwise it'll cook your butt from sitting in the sun. It could be comfortable, it all depends on how low you want it and how well you remove pressure point.
I love my L&M Seat pan. I went strictly for form over function with just under a half inch of foam padding, but am still very happy with the comfort. It all depends on the length of the ride you are taking. I can go a good 50 miles or so without a hitch, but after that more padding would be nice. The position that the seat puts you in is ideal for me where I am nice and low.
