pistol storage (concealed holster)

This is a discussion on pistol storage (concealed holster) within the Mean Streak Accessories forums, part of the Kawasaki Mean Streak category; I made this modification to my boots (this is not mine just a pic of where I got the idea from) http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95/jerrellwise/Gun%2520Pics/BootGun-6.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.ktog.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl%3Fnum%3D1302970482&usg=__SvvAu-7o6LLlXUDnWNXeAZHFJKM=&h=535&w=800&sz=97&hl=en&sta rt=0&zoom=1&tbnid=dHIbBpi-xAMyyM:&tbnh=122&tbnw=183&ei=GwnlTaOjDcnZgAeun_3TB g&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dcowboy%2Bboot%2Bholster%26um%3D1%26hl %3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26sa%3DN%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US ...

That is my argument for stainless or alloy frames and slides.

I would never in my life leave my firearm unattended in public, locked or not. It stays on my hip.

    "Business Trip"
I was up in Des Moines for a few days. Figured I'd get a ride in while I was up there. Didn't work out anyway. Drof99 had something come up and the only day I had to play hookey and ride, I got called back to the site. Man was it a windy ride back to KC. Full shield and lowers into a 35-40mph head wind.. I was in the throttle big time..42mpg up-32mpg coming back

What about when you need to enter a facility where carrying a concealed is against the law? Arenas, casinos, hospitals, etc.?

I plan ahead and leave it at home. There's no chance I would leave my gun unattended like that. Ever. Maybe its the military training in me.

Just for clarification, I never meant to leave it with the bike.

Personally, I rarely carry (other than family walks... read too many stories of kids being hurt by pit-bulls).

Keep things in perspective... and remember what is important in life:
"crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women."
/and don't take things too seriously, we are not here all that long.

As I am from the uk and carring guns and knives is not permitted, could one of you guys or girls tell me why you want to carry a gun any where with you.

    http://lmgtfy.com/?q=pitbull+attack

or "animal attack" or "dog attack". South Florida has a lot of lower-class people that seem to love them some poorly trained "family" pets.

Other than that, the whole "disarming law-abiding citizens will mean only criminals have guns" argument holds pretty true. It is part of our constitution, too, and we (used to) have a thing about our rights being taken away...

Anyway, and this is not part of my answer to your question, I don't go to places that are not family friendly (being married with a kid). I don't buy/use drugs. I tend to stay away from places like that "lounge" in Lauderdale Lakes where two drunks (last night 29Jun) shot each other and something like 10 other people during a dispute about god knows what - which brings me to the last thing I want to mention... I was trying to stay pretty neutral on this and not preach... but, personally, I think the second amendment was passed when we only had the Coast Guard (in which I served). We had no national military service like we do today. People were still volunteering for a town militia if called. We were still "settling" the interior of our country and hunting for food in many places. No, I am not sure if all that information is correct, but my point is: we had a real need for weapons.

Now, we use them to settle drunken disputes or shoot people's pets.
