    Jardine Forward question

So,... I'm on my second set of Jardines,... and I can't get the brake adjusted out right. The back brakes are REALLY stiff,..... almost feels like I'm standing on it to get it to apply,... then with just a bit more pressure,.. it locks up. Both sets have been the same way. I adjusted the pedal back up to where it's almost uncomfortable to use,... and it's still not any better.

I'm 6'2" with a 34" inseam and sz 14's. Adjusting any higher up just isn't an option. Anybody have any idea on this??

One other question. After I got this set on,.. and was adjusting the brake light switch,... I noticed that my front brakes aren't activating the brake light anymore. I can feel the switch clicking when I apply. Any ideas???

If the bushings at the pivot point are too tight they could bind up. Adjust the pedal to where it feels comfortable and work the linkage from there. Obviously, there could be some linkage binding from disassembly/reassembly, so don't forget to double check the master cylinder mounting and connection to the forwards. The easiest way to tell if it is the jardines is to unhook the master cylinder and see how freely the linkage moves. If it is still binding, I can't think of anything other than the bushings that could cause it.
