    Cheaper reproduction of the tornado? All the parts look pretty much identical aside from the filter of course.

    Gotta admit that it looks pretty good for the price. Much cheaper than the Thunder Tornado and adapter kit, especially if you add the high $$ Thunder Tornado cover...

    Do you know for sure if it will fit our Mean Streak? It sure seemed like a good alternative.

    I'm not positive, but it says:

    * Fitment:
    * 2000-2005 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic FI
    * Suzuki Marauder 1600 FI

    Does the Classic have a different setup than the Mean Streak?

    Isn't it Marauder 1600 FI the same as the VZ1600 which is a clone of our bike?

    I like how in the auction the picture says "from one of our HAPPY customers"...big capital letters like that one happy customer was a surprise to them. lol

    I'll admit, it does look pretty good, though. Nice style. If only it wasn't chrome...

    Yes... And the intakes are all the same for Classic/Nomad/Mean Streak 1500/1600 and M95

    Sorry to bring an old post back to life but I think I'm gonna order one of these. My teardrop air intake sticks out way too far and it puts my leg at an akward angle. I'll let you know how the install goes once I get it on.

    Got the intake installed.

    Weather has been kinda crappy here so I've only been out around the block a few times.
    here are a couple pictures. Bike runs exactly the same (as far as I can tell). Seems to be more than enough air coming in. No hesitation or flat spots throughout the rpm range. You can't hear it sucking as much as the huge teardrop intake I had on there but that's mainly due to the angle of the pipe coming out of the intake I think. Install was easy. I'm kinda anal about how well it seals so I just used some weather stripping between the plates where they bolt up so nothing could get in. I lubed the filter up with some K&N spray. For the price I think it was well worth it. I think I paid $180 including shipping. Oh and for there is absolutely zero clearance issues with my leg. My leg doesn't even come close to it and that was the main reason I picked this intake up.
