I joined VTXOA.COM a few weeks ago and there are a lot of good deals there. I found a headlight for $100 which I thought was an excellent deal, until I found another one for $60. Bought em both. They go for $200 plus on ebay. Seen shocks go for pretty cheap too. Apparently parts are plentiful for the VTX's, unlike mean streaks, so people unload them cheap. It took me a couple weeks to find good deals so just be patient and check the site often. Good luck.

How hard are the VTX headlights to mount to the Meanie? I thought about going this route, but I also read on another forum, that you can buy the parts to do the Marauder headlight for about $130. (Of coarse that's using all the guts from the meanie headlight). Just curious, I like the look of the marauder and the VTX headlights.

This post begs the question, do VTX owners look for Meanie parts to put on their bikes?

So you wanna part with that second one for $100?

I have three headlights coming. A marauder headlight I found on craigslist for $80 (he didn't know what he had. It was listed as a Zusuki Marauder 800 headlight) and two VTX headlights. I'm not sure what I'm doing yet. I may keep the marauder and a VTX headlight to switch back and forth, but I will have one and maybe two headlights for sale. As far as difficulty goes for mounting a VTX light, it can't be too hard. Just a bracket and a little wiring. Maybe someone here who's a machinist could make something up. I haven't received one yet but it may mount with the VTX bracket and new holes drilled on the Meanie.

I asked a member on here how long it would take to have a shop put the vtx headlight on and he said an hour or two max. So if you have some mechanical skills I'm sure its a breeze to swap them out. They definatly add to our bike. Ill be doing this mod without a doubt.

In fact not sure if I like the idea of all of these good VTX parts going on Kawis...might be a law against it...first the shocks and now our headlights...not good, not good at all.

If you decide to sell a vtx headlight count me in as the #1 spot. I'm not interested in the marauder or stock.

Since I own a Honda and until recently owned a Meanie I can understand why.

I've seen several people on the vtx forum with 3 or posts under there belts asking about shocks and headlights. I'm assuming it's people from here. Has anybody found anything yet? If you have, you can can pay my small finders fee of, let's say $5 per item, directly to my paypal account. If you want to pay more that is entirely up to you.

By the way, there were a set of 12" progressive 440's for sale on vtxoa for $225.

I was a member of vtxoa.com more than a year before you, but haven't been there for awhile until I read your post. I want to send a finder fee to the person who recommended me, but can't decide if I should send it to you or to the person who first recommeded me to that site over a year ago. Hmm ... maybe I should check back because I might have owned that person a finder fee if he ever wanted to make some money recommended me there.
