The Modifications Have Begun!
The mods have begun on the Versys.
I put the bike up on the lift table this morning and just took a look at it while it was up in the air. Kind of a different perspective gives us a different viewpoint.
One of the first things I spotted was what I thought a sloppy implementation of hose routing.
1 tie wrap, 1 removed hose bracket and 10 minutes and I now have a lighter, more aerodynamic Versys!
I think it gives a much cleaner appearance to the left side of the bike and removes something to get your foot tangled in.
So, now the first modificaton is behind me.

Forgive my ignorance on this, but what does that hose expel?
And if it does expel some liquid, was it meant to exhaust it to the side of the wheel instead of underneath the frame and directly in front of the rear wheel?
I am hoping to pick up a Versys eventually.

Definaltey worth looking into! The last thing you want is coolant or oil getting between your tire and the asphalt

Fuel. If you over fill your tank the excess goes down and out of that hose instead of possibly dripping down your tank and onto the engine.
My bike, the 650r, has the same thing.
I'm not exactly sure where you had it tucked but I think I would leave it dangling freely.... wouldn't want fuel spraying everywhere.

It also drains the airbox I think. Don't get it too near the exhaust!!
