I've read a couple reviews and do not recall any mention of vibes at 3000 rpm. The Versys aint no big twin so 99% of riders will only accelerate through 3000 rpm. No one will cruise at 3000 rpm, that would be like 35mph in top gear.

Hi there again. I'm the guy that just bought a new Versys. Some talk about vibes at 3000 rpm. No big deal. Yes, a little buzz, but unless your tooling around town in 3d gear, it's a non issue. 4000 rpm is only about 52mph, so 3000 would be like 35? Any speed on the highway is almost dead smooth. I
have a hand that goes numb real easy with excess vibes. No problem with this
rig. Today about 160 miles. Got the 500 miles at 4000rpm, so now its 6000
max, which is about 78 mph! So far, its a dandy! No complaints at all. Here's
a pic from our area, in the fall colors. Thanks, Jimmy
I appreciate all your input very well, please tell us more, no matter what it is just tell us what are you experiencing with your new bike, any new discoveries, thing that you wish were better or it had, etc... surprises that you were not expecting...
My head is spining....
Man, I think I am just going to lay low for a while too many options outhere...
We rode to Daytona last weekend, in our way down my ridding buddy got a brand new Honda Shadow, what a sweet ride... I have been looking at the custom mods for the Spirit 750 DC, what a lovely customisable machine...
Once in town, I did a demo ride of a HD Nightster, what a mean machine... I could not stop drawling all over it.
I love the versitality of the Versys, sport performance without having to sacrify comfort and still a reliable jap machine for less then $7K, can't beat that...
I check the dealer for either, versys or shadow spirit, I with my trade in situation I would have to finance $10K for either bike with a monthly payment of $150/mo minimum...
I have not even stop by the harley dealer yet but I will to check out the financing on a nightster....
I think I will continue to put up with my C50 at $60/mo on 6% interest for now. Still two wheels, reliable and very affordable....

Nice pic Jimmy,
Looks like some good riding over there....Little did I know when I started this thread that it would become so popular (over 9000 views)....and we can not even get that beautiful machine over here in my state....maybe next year?
Jimmy,
What region are those beautiful Fall leaves from?
Hi there Skippy! E'm yellow leaves are unbelievable this year. This was taken in eastern
washington state, in the foothills of the Cascade mountains, about 30 miles west of
Yakima, Washington.
Hi cred:
The vibration thing you read about is about the plastic vibrating around the head light. There are no vibrations on this bike for the driver! It is butter smooth. The plastic rattle is only on a few bikes and is easily fixed by yourself or a dealer with a strip of foam tape.
As far as the goofy look goes: I love it! At least it doesn't look like all the other cookie cutter 600th out there. The bike is a blast to drive on the road and with a good rider will easily outrun any other 600 on a twisty course.
You should check out the www.versys.co.uk forum for more info

There's plenty of ER6Ns and Fs (Ninja 650R's) on the roads in the UK but not seen any Versys's yet, maybe the weather's too bad.
Uh, is this a motorcycle thread or a computer thread?
