These indigenous flightless birds are similar to Ostriches, I saw a group of 4 over in NSW, they emit a drum like noise from down in their chest.

They stand about 1.5 metres tall and can give you a good peck or a kick with their strong feet.

    Pic16 grey kangaroos

This where I like to see them. These are the smaller variety. The larger red kangaroo stands about 1.5 tall and is an impressive formnable marsupial.

Great pics Graeme, I especially like the sunset and the cliff/sea pics. And those animal crossing signs, we'll never see those here in the USA.

P17 The blowhole warning sign doesn't tell you much

This a warning sign is of blowhole which is activated by the sea swells. The blowhole is not even obvious, however when it blows it goes off with a "whomph", it gave me quite a fright, so unexpected.

    Pic18 Coastline around Albany

This could be anywhere, it is a headland at Albany, quite spectacular when viewed from the cliffs I was standing on.

Pic19 Fish sent by Andre Lalonde from Canada

Three tins of specially prepared kippered herrings were sent to me by honorary registrar Andre Lalonde of Canada for consumption as and when required on the rounda Oz trip.

An anxious Andre was most concerned as the tinned herrings didn't arrive until shortly before my departure from bb. The postage of the herrings took more than 2 months from Quebec to bb.

Andre, the fish and the bread were as appetising as they look in the pic, merci.

Interesting pictures so far. The country side changes from dry brush to Ocean greenery. Orchards and ranch land. Unique animals, sure have big rabbits in Australia

ok I know about the giant Californian Redwoods

This part of the trip is one of the highlights of the trp, it was called "walking amongst the giants".....walking amongst the forrest tops. A huge steel walkway takes you right amongst the forrest tree tops it is spectacular.

The pic shows one of the trees, you can't get the true size from the pic, but I can assure it was huge.

Pic21 Walkway to the tree tops

This steel platform takes you up to the treetops, the best $6 I have spent in a longtime and I told the tour operators that.

GG have you noticed that the pictures, good as they are pale to the memories you have of those places?
We need cameras for 3-D pictures.

Serp is know round the world!
Funny but true, while on the beach in France a guy came up to me to say he'd remembered me from a motorcycles only campground in North Carolina.
I don't think anybody knows me in Brasil, anyone up for a ride?
I hear they make a mean grilled bat.
Can't slow down, the Langoliers will get me
