Real nice, looks like the metisse tray, I have it on mine also. Did you cut the luggage bars off? I bought my bike that way, and also found some really nice round body plugs that cover the holes. Looks even better with those holes finished, I must say. I don't have pics w/ the plugs, but I'll see what I can do about that.

They are pretty common to plug holes in sheet metal, go to www.mcmaster.com and search for "Finishing Plugs" here is the page:Originally posted by sniff

you want the polyethelyne ones about halfway down the page, I'm not sure which diameter so you'll have to measure it. If you snap them into the under-tail and tuck the outside edges under the tail-body-section (the painted part) they might stay; I used a small drill and tiny black cable-ties to hold the edge in that is against the under-tail.
PM me and I'll try to get some photos if you don't understand what I mean. Maybe I should write this up and send it in for the zr7.com mods section. It really, really, looks 100% better with them in there. Good luck!!

sniff, I see you have the muffler removed.
What does the bike sound like with straight pipes???![]()
Loud Loud Loud. I remember starting mine w/o the muffler when I swapped it. It sounds unbelievably huge. . .

Exposure to bikes in group rides. The ZR7 and a Yamaha 600 were loudest damn bikes in the group. Thinking it was the slip on they had a D&D and Muzzy. Put heard other bikes with same pipes, not near as loud.
750 engine headers and pipes must have a shape that sounds just shots out. The exhaust valves closer to the Headers, it's something. Just know it a loud engine![]()

Bandit 600 with the D&D is much, much louder. . . might be the 16 valves, or the extra 2K RPMS before redline, but I didn't like riding behind it, unless I was on the other side.Originally posted by Bronto
