    Anyone drill their exhaust?

I am looking for a way to make the Z a bit louder.
Has anyone drilled the stock exhaust with a simple long drill bit, as opposed to taking the whole can apart?

You can actually knock 2 holes in each muffler. I took a 18" piece of rebar and sharpened it on one end then began pounding with a hammer. I positioned it up and down in each muffler being careful not to poke thru the outside. It did give it a bit more growl but not what you probably want. Nothinng like an aftermarket system or different cans will sound. I personally like the carbon fiber because of looks but I want a mild sound , like the Yoshi Zyclone series........not looking to draw anymore attention than it already does.

I agree! Loud pipes don't save lives, they just attract the law and **** people off. Like the A## hole next to you at the lights rattling your windows with 500 watts of base.

Why is everyone so desperate for attention?

There was a thread a while back..maybe Martin? was driving and would have run over a biker if not for his loud pipe. I too was going around a corner once and saw the car ahead of me pull the door back closed (they were getting out of the car) because they heard me coming. I would certainly like a louder pipe..but don't want to lose the current pipes' colour and style.
