    Euro Z800

I know we haven't got the Z750 here in the states since at least 2006 (If I remember correctly). I know the Z750 continues to thrive in Europe.

Not sure if this has been covered here yet but I've been reading rumors that Kawasaki is planning to bump the 750 up to 800 in response to the new FZ8.

My question is do any of you guys think we'd get to see any of that action over here if they do in fact decide to make an 800 out of the Z? If they do import it over here then I know what I'll be trading my 650r for when the time comes.

I know there are no plans to import the FZ8, at least that I could find. The FZ8 itself looks awesome. Looks like an ER-6n on steroids.

Well odds are I'll probably end up with a 1000 anyway because I doubt they'd import the 800 anyhow.

I am interested in upgrading but its going to be at least another year or so.

Part of my issue is that I prefer to buy my stuff new but in all honesty I think the 10+ Z with the Zx-10 mill would be a bit too much for me. Maybe not, I don't know.

What I would really like to get my hands on when everything is said and done is a low mileage 2008 pearl white. That is by far the best looking Kaw. to date.

Ok well, it doesn't matter. The point of this post has kind of been over looked anyway. Thanks for the input guys.

Doc Bleed - I doubt we'll see either a Z800 or an FZ8 stateside (but I hope I'm wrong). Hell, we should probably be thankful we even have the Z1000 and FZ1 since nakeds aren't traditionally big sellers here. And the new 2010 Z in my opinion is borderline "naked" anyway it has so much plastic - basically just a porthole to see the engine. But it does have the upright ergos so that's good.

+1. Think it looks killer, but defeated the "naked" look. Everything flows into everything else. Wouldn't stand out in the crowd like the 1st & 2nd gen Z's.

    Thumbs down

don't get your hopes up for a Z800.

with ecomonic markets still bruised and battered i'll bet the Z750 in its current form will stick around for at least the next couple of years.

I totally agree that the 08 white Z is one SEXY beast.......... I'd gladly trade up if I can find one with low mileage.......

I highly doubt that we'll see a Z800 in the USA. We're very lucky that we received the new Z1k here, at first Kawasaki wasn't going to bring it to the states at all. After they tested it out, it was so impressive of a change that they decided to give it to the weak naked market in the USA. It's sad that so many people here would rather ride a race bike or a cruiser, but that's what americans demand the most.
