    Fat bars

I pick up my new pearl white z1k this Saturday and oddly enough my first mod will most likely be a set of fat bars and clamps. I've been down that road of the horsepower pursuit with my 1985 Kawasaki 750turbo, which I sold July '07, and so, really not interested in louder exhausts and such. The stock mufflers actually blend with the angular shapes found elsewhere on the bike and really the whole package blends and matches well. Will the exhaust grow old after a while? Maybe and then I'll figure what to do. But for now, the item that looks out of place is the skinny handle bar.

So, if anyone has a picture of their zed with a fat bar could you please post one in this thread, please?

    Thanks in advance.

Finally got around to taking some photos. It is still a stock z1000 which we have all seen so, I decided to add an accessory - our G37!

The back ground for the photos isn't ideal but, the sun was setting fast.

I now have over 1100 miles on the bike and really enjoy riding it. This winter I'll be doing some work with the fuel system and the forks - I don't like the flat roll-ons and the forks aren't where I'd like them in fast sweepers.

So, this Sunday we have another group ride in Clarksville, TN and should be nice weather for us.

Here's a picture of the KTM Bend Fatbars that I put on my Z. The install really couldn't be easier. I used the Renthal Fatbar clamp kit and it worked perfect. Now all I need are some bar ends/new mirrors. Even without bar ends there are no vibrations through the bars.

    OU812,

That fat bar looks good. I sure like them. It is good to know that the Renthal clamps work on our Z's. That will be a winter project for me.

Hey, that KR RZ350 is nice. I used to have an RD400F Daytona Special. Did some road racing with it back in the day.
