Took my Z to the drag strip for the second time ever. This time I had the required full leathers so no more raising eyebrows trapping over 120. I got there too late to make 2 practice runs, so I only got one.

First run was decent for a rookie. I got lined up against a stretched, lowered, and modified gsxr750. He went 9.884 @ 139.98. Here was my run.

Eliminations started after that, and I expectedly lost in the first round. I had a decent light, but I pulled too much clutch off the line and my front end came up on me, I settled it back down for an atrocious 60' time. I was lined up against a stretched Busa, needless to say he shot by me like a missile at the 1000' foot mark and coasted to an easy victory. I have video of it...but its embarassing! Haha. Here was my 2nd run.

I really wanna hit some road courses now that I have leathers, I'll have to keep an eye out for some open track days at Mid-Ohio. Drag racing is fun, but hittin the twisties without worries of traffic, gravel, andimals or cops would be a BLAST!

Also I still need to post a trip report from Sturgis, I'm still downloading pictures onto photobucket slowly but surely.

A fellow Newarkian! I've been on the lookout for Z's around town but haven't seen one except the black one that inspired me to get mine. I'm all over town on my green 04 so maybe I'll see you around!

Ahhh so you're the guy thats been running around on the greenie. Haha. Everybody has been tellin me they've been seeing "a green one" running around in Heath and what not. Lemme know and we'll go riding sometime. I live over around Hanover/Toboso.

Those are Fieldsheers, they look awesome in white. I didn't think I would want white, but they look really good on the bike. I picked them up at Iron Pony for $550 which isn't too bad considering I got to try them on. There's better deals on the web, but you can't try them on first

Cool, yea I grew up out that way and went to Valley. Come to think of it, I stopped in Hanover tonight to grab a sammich at the store there. We'll get together for a ride soon. I'm always riding through Toboso coz my parents are out on Flint Ridge. Oh, and nice vids. I'm actually suprised @ how well you kept up with the gixxer. I got to ride this Monday @ Mid Ohio and had the time of my life. I've got the leathers and gear now so I hope to make it out to Nat. trails too.

Yeah I live right on Toboso Rd. What year did you graduate from Valley? I was class of '02.

I was a few years ahead of ya. Class of 99. Damn, I'm gettin old haha.

Not a bad run at all, but that 750 was fast! Your leathers would look killer on my bike being white and black.
