    What Exhaust Cans are these

    Sorry no picture but.....

Back here in London, UK, I spotted a Z1000 with the most amazing sounding cans.

The cans look like the standard ones with a pair each side of the bike, but instead of tubular exhaust shape, they were tapered like the ones seen underneath the seat of an MV Agusta F4.

Can anyone help, or were they bespoke, perhaps?

    Thanks,

Tom (Just trying to find the right Z1000 to buy at the moment!)

Hi AKSnowman, i do have pics but not on my PC at present, PM your address and i can send you a "old time" real pic!
As to the sound, baffles in they are loud and a lot more meaty than stock, both together weigh less than one O/E cans, the pick up off the throttle is much better,
I took the baffles out and opened them up a bit and again the sound is louder, harder and more aggresive, baffles totally out, its is far to loud to be honest for town work, on a run and at 90mph my pal in front of me couldn't hear his own bike over the sound of mine and when i passed him at 100+ he said it was painfull! even at idle it sounds like a stocker doing 50, and gets very wearing even with ear plugs in. If you do decide to go the baffle less route you will need a PCIII.

Power Commander III- a tuning device offered by DynoJet.

Allows you to re-map ignition timing and fuel curve to compensate for changes to the bike, such as the Campbell Custom pipes.
