triple clamps: 636 lower, z1000 upper?
I'm wondering if it is possible to use a 636 lower triple clamp and a z1000 upper? I'm sure hoping so.. I'll explain why. I've got a 2003 636 and am changing the bars to a dirtbike setup.. the stock triple clamps are not drill and adapter friendly.. thus, I am bringing this question before you.. tell me what I want to hear!

We know that the fork tubes are the same so the only other thing is the spacing. If you can take something to measure inside to inside or outside to outside with you to a dealer it'll tell you in a hurry if the spacing is compatible. With any luck you can probably run a caliper across the tubes on the top of the upper clamp.
The re-emergence of the nakeds has started and one day soon true men will be proud to show their naked engines to the world once again without shame or ridicule. Free from the persecution of the heathen element that would clothe the honesty of real metal behind the false promises of plastic.
