I just got one, reading this thread pretty much convinced me. I've heard about Corbins forever, I don't think so many people can be wrong. I haven't ridden on mine yet though, so I can't give my opinion.

    CORBIN ........OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I can only vouch for Corbin's ZR-7 model, which is awesome. I took a short road trip from Louisville to Wadesville, IN (125 miles door to door) with no stops. I had no butt or leg pain at all, and could've easily done another 100 or so miles.
I'd say it would be money well spent.

I did 650km last weekend and at about 580km, my legs and *** were just burning.

No position to get comfortable anymore.

I am going to try and refoam my seat this winter, unless I can buy a Corbin for a good price.

There are an awful lot of testimants to Corbin throughout this bulletin board. Many, including myself, will tell you that it is the first mod you should do to your bike. Even before it breaks in, your a** is in complete ecstacy once they touch. I just did 300 miles two weekends ago and didn't have any sore bottom problems. Believe me, anyone who has one will swear by it. Go get one! Your will thank you.

Went with a group for a ride yesterday. Well over 300 kilometers. I could have kept going without any pain. I have done 600 kilometers, only stopping for gas, with no pain. It feels like a lot of money to spend on something but it is the most functional mod you will ever do.

Pic of group ride. No others Zeds in our group but we did run into one.

I just got a corbin and I cant believe the difference. I dont know what to do with the stock seat now. It will never go back on the bike while my *** sits on it.

My buddy who has a zx-12 just sat on my bike and ordered one that night. He didnt even ride the bike.

My budget is not wealthy enough for a Corbin any time soon [esp. at Canadian prices] but I have found a stop gap solution.

I wear bicycle shorts under my motorcycle pants. Did a 300+ mile ride this week on my ZR7S with no discomfort.

    Hey NS,

Where did you get the tank bra from and do you like it? I just found a scratch on my tank where my leg rubed on the side of the tank, I'm pissed off!! How much is it?

    Hey Al,

I actually just picked it up that day so I haven't really had much time to think about it. It fits pretty well and I like the look. I am just going to make sure that I remove it whenever I clean the bike and put on a good coat of polish. (We've all heard horror stories about these things.)

I got it for $40 at my Kawi dealer. Strange that it was a Kawasaki part that I ordered and Lockhart Philips makes it? Honestly, when a tank pad is $25, $40 seems pretty good.

As for a Corbin, you would be looking at around $400 to get one at your dealership and unless the Canadian distributor has one in stock, it could take a while. I got mine off this forum. i don't even think the guy broke it in.

I just did 652 miles in one day with the stock seat and honestly the seat hurt but not as bad as my neck from the wind. Seats crap I admit but I think I will order the Barracuda screen direct and hope that helps,,...

    Tank Protection

You want really good tank protection that looks good and isn't so expensive? Get a "Tank Slapper." It even adds a little grip to the knees. BTW, the tank slapper is adhesiveless and completely transparent. See mine? $15

I think you will get used to the stocker. I now have 8,000km on my Z and I must say 600km days are nothing now. The first month I had it 400km would just kill me. I think once the foam gets a little softer it helps. Corbins are too expensive. I would love to have one but the stocker is gonna have to do me for a while.
