    Crashed weekend past

We'll haven't been on in awhile... Finally got all the piece i ordered to put on my bike, but now therte is no point till my leg heals. Last weekend i was driving out of the good old dark trailerpark and misjudged one of the slow spped turns cause of poor lighting (pitch black) and i crashed with the old wife watching me go down. I slide about 10 feet across the grass and at least missed the pond. I got away lucky broke my ankle and lower leg bone and femur not only once but twice. So i'm out of action for they said 16 weeks and hopefully they will not have to screw it all back together. My bike ended up with no damage except for the mirror got scuffed. Just thought i share my story and the posts will give me something to read.

Oh, daaamn. That sucks man. How did you hurt your leg? Bike land on it or did you try to brace yourself? Either way, get well soon! ...and make sure you've got good meds. I know leg pains suck. The pain meds they gave me after knee surgery had about the same effect as an aspirin(from what I remember).

I know the wife will hound me that is why i am hounding her when she is playing nurse lol. I think my leg broke when the bike landed on it a first impact, it happened so fast in the 10 feet that i didn't even get a chance to let go of the bike i ended up riding it down till it stopped. My brother inlaw went to lift the bike off me without getting my other foot from being stuck and had to drop the bike back on me ******* lol. It's all good i can survive witha broken leg just have the bad itch to get out riding again.

Figure i toss in an update, it has been like 4 weeks since it has happened. I had the doc cut off the cast and he put in a plate and 10 screws to make my leg stronger and heal faster. \my leg feels much better now with most of my pain in my knee, from not being able to bend it for 4 weeks. Well hopefully things stay on the right track and i will be up and riding before i know it. Better than staying in a cast till christams is the way i look at it.

They got trailer parks in Ontario?
I believe it is better to be seen than to be heard. Remember, they give out licenses to deaf people, but not blind people.

    Wow -
every time I read this forum, someone else is crashing? So far only broken bones, but still.
Mods: Stock footpegs / Stock brake levers / Stock PAIR valve (what is that anyway) / Stock Grips / Stock valve stems / Stock tires / NO ermax undertail thingy / Stock key and ignition / Stock exhaust / Stock gas cap and fuel / and oh yeah - a PUIG windshield, not stock.

Thought I toss out an update. Well I'm finally up and moving under my own power again lol after breaking my leg in July i finally started walking again with no aids in Dec. Now it is Feb and the weather has been in the fiftyies only to snow tomorrow but spring is coming and I got the itch to go riding. Once the weather goes up again I plan on doing all the mods i wanted to do last year to my bike, can't wait to share the pics on here.

Take it slow, after a crash and time off the bike your head is gonna play some tricks on you. Glad to hear you're up and around though.

Scary read, considering in a post I said I was going really fast on turns. I think I'll slow down after reading this post. Well get better and hopefully you can get out and ride again.
