I mostly like the ER-6N. The only thing I dont' like is the side fairings with the front signals in them. I think they look horrible. The rest of the bike looks great.
The bike looks better in person, IMHO. I prefer the full fairing style of the Ninja, but saw one at a sneak peak night at my dealer, it didn't look as bizarre as it does in photos.
NRC in Niagara On the Lake, Ontario. There were a few Kawi reps there as well last week at this event. This was supposedly the only ER-6N in Canada.
They have seemed to get one early.![]()
DynoJet Power Commander (PC3), Arrow Aluminum Exhaust, ProGrip Tank Protector, ZG Double Bubble Short Screen, Piper-Cross High Flow Air Filter, Vortex Swing Arm Spools, Michelin Pilot Powers 170/60 ZR17 - rear, 120/70 ZR17 - front, EK RED 520 chain, Goodridge front and rear steel braided brake lines, R & G Frame Sliders, Ninja 650R Sport Bars version 1 bent and now version 2, Pro Grip 717 Sportbike Grips and Ninja 650R Billet handlebar clamp, JC Motors motorcycle cover, Woodcraft full rear sets.
Yes, they were just there for the demo night. Had a couple new cruisers (didnt pay attention), the 09 ER-6N, and an 09 Monster Energy ZX-6R. I asked the rep what had changed for the 09 650R, and he said the biggest improvements were in the suspension, particularily the front end.
Guys: Saw it at the bike show. Neat little bike, but that front fairing, with the integrated signals, needs a bunch of work. ,BK
'08 CRF230, '07 SV650,
6N came out here at the same time as the 6F. Must be one one the ugliest bikes ever.
Biggest change on the 09 is the new frame - slimmed down (needed a new swing arm to compensate for the loss of stiffness) with rubber engine mounts.
I'd like to see how it stands up to 12 months of normal use before buying one.

I really like it except for the headlight and the front turn signal shrouds. Put a dual headlight set up and remove or trim those side shoruds and it's perfect.
