I'm not getting rid of mine, but my next bike will be either a Road King or the Indian Chieftain. I like riding the meanie but I want to get more into long distance riding so I am looking for a touring setup.

What I loved about the MS is the balance. It is what I compare to when gauging other cruisers. It's different for different people as body height, weight and COG vary. That balance I loved seems to get lost, IMO, when bikes are designed with fairings and hard bags. Well, except for one model. When I test rode it I immediately knew it was going home with me.

The Meanie will stay no matter what, especially after next winter when it emerges with a Speed-engineered engine, tranny and suspension. Will likely end up with my Son. I could see adding another Bike down the road, something along the lines of a used V2K or Raider. Seeing Kawasaki pretty much walk away from the muscle-cruiser marketplace is very frustrating.

The only bike I'd even consider is the VRod...But then again, I wouldn't get one unless it was a REALLY good price and definitely wouldn't trade in my Mean Streak for it..Thing is, the Mean Streak is really hard to beat for all-around-well-balanced/reliable/inexpensive/good looking/etc...

I saw a blue breakout SVO with matching frame and man that was one sweet looking ride. I like the wide tire look, but don't like the way it feels in the curves. Yamaha has been able to keep neutral handling with the Raider.

See I rode the breakout and liked the cornering, useing more body weight shifting felt good to me, it hauled a$$ too! It's a sick looking bike for sure but getting back on my meanstreak felt great as well.....side note I uncovered my meanstreak this week and it fired right up after sitting for months, on a tender, fuel stabilizer had a fresh oil change last fall... Took it for a rip and I'm gonna keep it ! I forgot how fun it is, hard on my back but have the new super tenere for longer rides. It's truly a wonderful riding bike, for those that never rode one, do it!

I've been eyeing the yamaha star raider as of late. Who knows, maybe I'll test ride one soon.

something about the raider im just not feeling. looking at it feels like a, for lack of a better term, "wannabee" chopper. similar to the honda fury. but yea those breakouts are sexy as &^%*&

NICE, other then the breakout cornering how else did it ride? yea our bikes definitely are a blast to ride. I took my handle bar risers off last season. I like the look much better with them off but for me 6'1 its just way to uncomfortable. put a damper on the season for me. I just put them back on the other day and damn, I feel right back in love lol

image.jpgI really liked the ride, seemed smooth, loved the big 21" front tire, solid bike!, 103 hi output felt good only a short ride but money no object I would have bought it, road glide would be the smarter choice with fairing and bags but breakout was sick for sure. It's the only bike I've ridden that really reminded me of the streak, riding position and overall feel . I was a bit stretched out, would do a differant bar but really fun bike

I don't think I'd trade in mine either but mainly because it's custom painted. Though, I would consider adding a touring bike and been eyeing the Victory line and the Indian line. Though, probably not gonna happen soon.

Doesn't look like I'm trading mine any time soon, I like it well enough that a couple of months ago I bought another one.
