On my way to work today I went through a small puddle. Was going about 35 or 40 when I noticed the puddle ... slowed to 30ish to attempt to reduce water spots on all the chrome ... 100 yrds or so later the bike cuts out. I try to re-start and it feels like a low battery - It cranked weakly, and would not start. So I get off the bike, take my helmet off and look at the bike like I know what I am doing ... NOT. No obvious leaks. No excessive amount of water underneath that I can see. Less than 5 minutes later I sit back on the bike (again like I know what I am doing) and she starts right up. No more issues on the rest of the ride into work. No difference that I noticed in engine response, performance, etc. from usual.
Any ideas on what happened? Was it just temporarily related to the puddle or should I get the electrical system checked out? Any thoughts are welcome and appreciated.
What an empty feeling it is to be out on the road looking at a meanie that won't start ...... lol ... Hoping she starts up at the end of the work day!
