Personally I enjoy the time it takes to top off the Mean Streak. It gives time for other bikers to stop by and compliment the bike and invite me to the next bike night at wherever. It gives time for ladies to comment on all that shiny chrome against the ebony paint. and it give time for my arse to recover from sitting on that brick of a seat that looks real good when the Mean Streak is posing.
I believe it is better to be seen than to be heard. Remember, they give out licenses to deaf people, but not blind people.

i think the only benefit would be the with boot on the nozzle like in the video. one time i was pulling that boot back and the gas from the boot got all over my gloves... this way i wouldnt have had to worry about it

but yeah im still skeptical too

That's nice but how full does it get the tank? Because of the way the tank is shaped, for it to be full (with the bike on the side stand), gas has to be trying to overflow the left side of the filler neck. If you end up with it just covering "the cup" you've gained nothing but another thing to lug around.

Only issue I've ever had where it would be useful was the fuel nozzles in DC. They have a fuel vapor capture feature which required full pressure around the whole nozzle or else the pump wouldn't turn on. Try to jam the whole thing in your tank and it wouldn't even get half full. I'd have to push the thing back with my hand which was annoying and didn't work too well. I just stopped filling up there and got gas in Va near where I lived.

I don't recall ever using them kind of pumps with a boot??? The pumps around here are normal pumps that work anytime you squeeze the handle. The one in the video must be some kind of bull crap cali thing????...lol.

Its a state specific emissions thing. Ohio doesn't have them. I know DC and CA do, not sure where else.

lol, after filling fuel I would love to grab something covered in gas. I like the smell of gas on my hands. Plus the added bonus of have a gas soaked bag attached to my bike.

Guessing you might get another 1/2 cup in your tank to fill all the way to top of neck.
That's if it doesn't start running out of the overflow tube.

    45 MPG
    16 cups to gallon.
If you could get an extra cup of gas into tank, in that would be a whole 2.8 extra miles
    1/2 cup 1.4 miles

IMHO. Not worth picking up a gas covered funnel with your hands.

Fill your tank the way you usually do then top it off so it's REALLY full using a gas can so you can watch the level come up and see how much more goes in. I suspect you'll find it's alot more than a cup.

never had a problem filling to the top (brink of overflowing). just pull the nozzle's foreskin back, look in the hole, and trickle in the last few drops.
