It varies from rider to rider and bike to bike, but figure between 120 - 140.

I rarely fill up before 165 miles.

120 - 140 AFTER the fuel light comes on??

I think you gave me miles you get before the fuel light comes on, I want to know how many you can go AFTER it comes on. (to know how urgent the need is)

I dont have an answer for you, as I have never run it out of fuel (yet) but have regularly gone 50km after the light has come on before stopping for fuel.

So it is not like 5 kms and you are dry. I just want to know for security sake (I dont want to run out of gas in the middle of nowhere)

    Thanks for the translation!

I usually get 42mpg and the light is supposed to come on steady with a gallon left.

    AWESOME TO KNOW

That was what I was looking for. Since I bought my Meanie used, I do not have the owners manual

(anyone have a PDF of that?)

This subject gets beat around regularly. Some reading:
    Gas light?
    Out of Fuel!!!!
    Gas light?

The search function works pretty well.

As JFl indicated, it really is difficult to conclude since much is based on riding style, mods, tires, etc. I have read riders who reach 90 miles and the light comes on while others, including me, reach between 120 and 140, as JFL indicated again. Since you bought used, who knows what the previous owner may have done to the bike.

Your best option to obtain accuracy is to take a gallon of gas with you and ride until you run out few times, twice should be good unless the two differ greatly.

Oops....I have no idea why I put that.

    I meant 90 miles.

    It's fixed.
