    Military Members

I do not know if there is already a thread out there or not, but I figure we might start one to see who is part of the forum that is serving the country. It may be a way to find others that are stationed in the same place in order to get some rides together or be able to help another when in need. I figure we could at least say where you are stationed at or something. If you do not want to post then feel free to post.

Personally, I am a marine. Right now I am in Philadelphia and will be moving to TBS there in Quantico in about a month, so if there is anyone down there in Quantico wanted to ride this summer let me know.

"You need a cover on your grape Devil." Ha! just kidding. Thats really a cool pic attached.
A couple of months ago I dropped to IRR after 6 years in the USMCR. Would have more than likely picked up SSgt. next year sometime but I decided I was done.
Props to you man and good luck at TBS

Funny thing is that picture was taken to give to retired Lt Gen Christmas so that he knew a little bit about each one of us that are getting commissioned, but the Navy Lt that had to go through first turned it down because I was holding my son on a motorcycle. They are getting a lot more stricter with marines with motorcycles now. Everyone before they even buy a motorcycle have to get permission from their CO or face getting a NJP. Too many kids getting into accidents on their little rice burners.

Although not a member, I worked as a civilian in Public Affairs and Family Support for 6 years at the 913th WGARS. In my time, I assisted numerous members' families with finances and other misc. arrangements throughout their deployments over to Iraq.

My step dad is a Retire Colonel AFR.

I've been a Cavalry Scout in the Army for 7 yrs. Currently stationed @ Ft. Riley, KS
    "It is the Soldier,
not the reporter who has given us freedom of press
    It is the Soldier,
not the poet who has given us freedom of speech
    It is the Soldier,
not the campus organizer who gives us freedom to demonstrate
It is the Soldier who salutes the flag,
    who serves beneath the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
who allows the protester to burn the flag."

Small world I was stationed at Willow Grove for 4 years before I moved out to the Indy area. I was in the 270th EIS part of the 111th FW and basically your neighbors. My father was stationed at the same base for several years before he retired from the navy.

Been a Guard Baby all along, but my first 4 years I was a 13F(Fire Support Specialist) with HHB 1/101FA, the following 3 years I was a 2A731(Avaition Machinist/Welder) with the 102nd Fighter Wing MAANG, and the last year was spent with 1/126 GSAB(general support aviation battalion) in the RIARNG. Just re-upped as a 44E(precision machinist) with the Mass army guard for 6 more years.

You are right, there is something about the Air Force and Meanstreaks, I didn't get mine til I crossed into the blue. And if we hadn't gotten brac'd, I'd still be making things for bikes on uncle sam's dime
