I recall you were pretty satisfied with Triumph. Road King, huh? Back in '08 I was year from the sale of the 750turbo and was only riding off-road with the WR400F. While traveled out on a former job up in Watertown, NY, I stopped at the local H-D store to satisfy a curiosity of the Street Glide as I was getting the itch to ride on the road again. A couple of months later I picked up the Z1000. Still like the Street Glide, but probably won't ever get one.

Now I have a bad itch to ride off-road!

I could wear a mesh jacket when it was in the 50s on that bike. Unbearable to ride it here in the southeast most of the year. I did get in a couple nice tours on it. Ended up getting a great offer on it from the new owner of the Harley dealership. Traded for a '17 Road King.
I put 60,000 miles on my '10 Vulcan Voyager which is the most on one bike.

The KLX250S is my exploring bike. Light enough for the tough stuff, and easy to load in my truck to take with me. Not quite enough bike for sustained highway speeds, especially if a hill is involved.
The FZ07 is what I haul on work trips where I know twisties are involved. Need to upgrade the suspension eventually. It is a light bike compared to others in its class.

The M8 Rushmore Road King is a nice machine. Feels Japanese, but with superior fit and finish. I like how it is easily converted from touring to Boulevard bike.
Skill is what keeps you on two wheels.

Situational awareness combined with skill is what keeps you out of harm's way.

ATGATT combined with Situational Awareness and Skill means you might live to ride another day when that deer runs into your bike or that drunk blows through that stop sign.

I like the KLX250S and the possibility of adding the 350cc kit, pipe, and pumper carb, but then the DRZ keeps popping in. Oh heck, Suzi has the DR650 too. I had a KLX650C back in 90's. Looking for more technology. The 690 and 701 models are at the top. I need to get something in the next 60 days.

I'll be out on the Concours in a couple of hours. Want to get in a few hours of riding after the roads drain some more.

Due to buying it towards the beginning of winter, only has 300 miles on it, rains alot here and heavily, but a sunny cold day is just fine.
