Have you noticed any decel popping since gutting out the muffler?
I have camera working w/pictures and a video and i dont know how to post them?
After you have set up an account, all you need to do is download your pictures to the site you have choosen, then open a picture up, and right click on on the picture, then click on properties.
The picture properties window should appear showing the URL address for that picture, which you then need to copy.
Here is what the picture properties window will look like.
Once you have copied the URL address for the picture, you will then click on the insert image button, which is the 5th button from the right in the picture below.
After you click on the insert image button, this box will pop up on the screen.
All you need to do now is paste the URL address that you copied, and insert it under where it says, please enter the URL of your image:, then hit ok. Be sure to make sure that you do not have a dulpicate http:// in the beginning of your URL address, as this will screw it up, for when you copy the URL address, it will also have a http:// at the beginning of it.
If you've done everything correctly, your picture should appear in your post.
i still check this list now and then, i was glad i found it when i was interested in buying a new bandit, but i have migrated to the dark side by haunting another list.
i'll still be here, but if it seems slow moving, you might find a few of us over there. :lurk:
i'm not sure if you can post video here, or how, easiest way for me to post video is to put it on youtube, and then cut and paste the link.
Thanks for the link to the B12.5 service book. I almost spent hard earned $'s on a pronted version. My son[who GAVE his Dad a brand new B12.5 "07] has been harping on getting it. Again, many thanks. Oh, for the computer illeterates, save it as a word document and then burn it to a Cd. Worked like a champ for me. Now to load it on son's laptop so when we work on Bandit all info is right there!
Has anyone seen a dual exhaust setup for the 07 Bandit ?
What is the result of the Race Tech gold valve install? I've been hoping to see how that worked out.
parts are still in the box, overtime at work, busy weekends, and family troubles have prevented having fun with forks.
and a note to all, i usually lurk at twt site, since the posts there seem to be more frequent, havnt been here in a while.
thanks to all who gave me an ear on this site.
i didnt mean to ignore anyone.
just busy, and somewhere else.
Brand nubee to the Bandit. Enjoyed reading through this whole thread. Thanks for the time and effort to outline procedures. Really helps to learn the bike.
Do need a link to a Service manual if possible as I do all my own work.
At a shrinking ( due to time in life ;-) I'd like to kick the airflow up on to the helmet but with a clean flow to make the vents on the helmet work. Does the Suzuki Double Bubble do this or should I just go taller with the Givi or ???.
Just coming off a DL1000 for the last 18,000 miles and 130, 000 on BmW Gs's before that. Having to learn a totally different kind of bike now. Though the seating / peg relationship kinda reminds me of the '97 R11RA I had for a couple of years.

'07 Bandit 1250S
I'm hoping the double bubble windscreen and mirror extenders do the trick for my bike. I've got them on order, should be here next week. They'll probably beat Suzuki getting my mount for the top case   . I've just started (yesterday) ridding it as I got tired of waiting on them to get the cases mounted.
Has anyone fitted a Ventura rack to their 2009 1250S Bandit yet?
If so can you give me an idea on the fitting procedure as I have a top section and will make the L brackets myself but need to know the mounting points.
This is the first non BMW I have had in the last 5 bikes and I am loving it.:notworthy
2009? Dang I thought my '08 was new!
However, no, I'm getting my Suzuki Hard cases and mounts installed Friday (at the moment). I may try and get them done sooner. :-D The Dealer FINALLY got the Top Case Mount in, so now they're waiting on me to get the bike up to them. From what I can tell they're nothing more than OEMed GIVI cases.
Well, put the English Powerbronze Windshield on the bike yesterday and have done about 400 miles in the last two days checking it out. Moved the air flow from the high chest area to about mid visor on the helmet. Good clean air. Just about a couple inches lower than the place my VStorm was adjusted to. I'll wait and see what the Corbin seat that due in near the end of the month will do before more adjusting in that area.
I have a double bubble coming in also but it from what I read on it not sending the air any higher than the Powerbronze, it will go up for sale as the other throttle lock I have taken off and put the Throttlemieser on.
Just don't see any need of more power on this bike for my needs. Found out with the clutch out it creeps only as slow as 10 mph idling in seized traffic on the interstate. Not bad.
Just love being able to slow down on two lane roads to about 40 or 45 and just get a little break in traffic and pass several vehicals rapidly staying in 6th gear. Dang that thing hauls the freight in high gear.
A pic of us crossing the Cameron Ferry today headed for Holly Beach.
