    7,000 and still rolling..........

Well almost 7grand.....that's how many miles my lastest set of tires have on them before I found a piece of glass hiding in the 180. While lubing the chain last night I did the usual tire check and found the small cut. So I took it to my friendly Kaw dealer and had them put in a plug/patch. It looks like a giant tack or witch hat. It has a metal jacket on the point which helps install the plug (from the inside).......and is removed once its thru the tire. I've patched other tires with them ...so far it's been 100% out of about 4 tires. A 20 dollar fix will get me thru the season then I will order a new set of Pirelli Diablo Stradas.

That tire looks pretty good for 7000 miles. You must be slowing down in your old age.

I dont need to remind you to torque the caliper bolts do I?
