Found these weird new tie downs. Thinking of trying them. What do you guys think?

I saw this video the other day for these tie downs (tactical tie downs from walmart) that work in a similar fashion to chinese finger traps. I've been looking around to see if anyone has tried anything like this before I end up thrashing my gear on a test. What do you guys think? https://www.sverve.com/user/campaign/1440163327682

Not familiar with that link so didn't click on it.

I use Arno Straps and ROK straps. Both work well for strapping down gear.

It's called a bury. Very common in the hammock world - usually called a whoopie sling.
If made with Amsteel blue rope (used on ships) they are stupid strong. A 3/16" Amsteel has a breaking strength of 4900 lbs.

The outer shell constricts the inner (the rope is hollow) and prevents it from coming loose once under tension.

The ones in the video look like regular old poly rope. You can buy the rope and some hooks and make your own.
