I am probably taking it to an upholsterer in spring to have it redone.

My experiences with memory foam is that it hardens over time, especially in cold weather and when exposed to the sun. I remember aircraft seat cushions that always had to be replaced after a couple years.

Seat pads can really help, but sometimes some bikes just don't work for some riders, no matter how many modifications you make.

Yep, that's a cool place. I had a Honda ST1300 with a Corbin heated seat, but it just wasn't quite right. I made the pilgrimage there last year, early summer. I rode from St. George, UT to Hollister, CA in one day ...about 700 miles, I think. I was at the factory early the next morning. Those guys are wizards at forming the butt pocket just right. Love the seat, so I love the bike more.

Now I have a second new bike -- 2015 Ninja 1000. I'll be ordering a Corbin seat for it soon. I'll ride with it awhile to see how it feels, then next year in early summer I'll be heading for Hollister again.

    Reminds me of a joke...

A father is sitting in the kitchen when his boy returns from school.

Father "So how was school today, son?"

Son: "It was boring. But I has sex in the woods!"

Father looking proud "That's it son, your a chip off the old block!"

    Son: "Thanks Dad!"

    Next day comes around...

The father brags about his stud son to his coworkers. They all look impressed...

Father is sitting in the kitchen when his boy returns from school.

Father looking proud "So son, how was school today?"

    Son "It was boring"

Father waits, then says "Well, did you have sex in the woods?"

    Son "No"

    Father "Well, why not?"

Son "My butt still hurts from yesterday"
