My experiences with memory foam is that it hardens over time, especially in cold weather and when exposed to the sun. I remember aircraft seat cushions that always had to be replaced after a couple years.

Seat pads can really help, but sometimes some bikes just don't work for some riders, no matter how many modifications you make.
