Hi There! I am looking to sell my 2008 KLR650 with 17K miles for a friends mint 2005 Triumph Bonneville T-100 with 2500 miles on it. I love my KLR, but I would like to ride two-up more often and I am guessing the Triumph will handle better for this situation. I live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, have a 1500 gravel driveway, live on twisty roads, and ride the high Sierra passes throughout the summer. (I wish I could keep & afford two bikes, but I am looking for a better two-up bike). I know I will be sacrificing the nimbleness of my KLR, but that's okay if the performance is better for two on the Bonnieville. Thanks ahead of time!

Hello everybody!!! I would like to start off by saying that i just bought my very first bike so Im kind of new at this bike stuff. Second, I bought a 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 650R used, obviously, so if someone could help with the following; when bought it, it had the FI light on, and the thermostat light came on at stop lights only to turn off shortly after take off, so i took the bike to my local motorcycle shop where the guy did a full service on the bike and took the FI light off, when I was on my way home from the shop however my FI light came back on and my thermostat light came on and stayed on, my question to you guys is the following, would it be a thermostat problem or some sort of relay problem or a combination of the two???!?!?!?! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No joke welder, 2 months ago I bought the same bike. Yours should be plasma blue unless it was painted..only came in that color in 05. I think 06 also but don't hold me to it. Anyway, I am a noob also. Been ridding off road since I was ten, I am 42 now. But just started street riding. I am also a noob around here so what's up everyone.nice to have a place like this to come to. Oh, and I did stumble across the manual for 10 bucks, maybe a little more in Canada, I will see if I can find it and post it.

Hey there... I've been lurking these forums for a while and joined a few weeks ago, this is my first post introducing myself. I've seen plenty of helpful information. This is my first season riding and I can't stay away from the bike. I'm a 25 year old with a 2011 Kawasaki Ninja 650r bought used with 3k miles on it. I've already put 2k miles on it over the past month and a half I have had it. I've met some people within the area that ride all the time and they consider me a natural which makes me feel very comfortable on the bike. It's a great escape from everything else going on and it makes me feel free(it's the second closest thing to flying as I'll get, already jumped out of a plane). I got into riding as a child when my father would take me to school on his bike. He quit riding after one day riding to work on the thruway he glanced down at his speedometer and was hitting 110. Being a father of 5 he decided to give it up... for a while... After we all got older, (youngest is now 14) he decided to get back into it and bought the same bike that he first rode, a '78 Kawasaki KZ1000. I surprised him after I moved out with my decision to ride. He wasn't exactly thrilled... and I haven't gotten a chance to ride with him yet, but I've been out every beautiful day I get the chance. He has his concerns. As I've become more comfortable with riding though and have become familiar with the bike's acceleration and throttle settings, I've started popping headphones on under my helmet. He has his concerns about that but I feel that I can still hear even the stock setup while riding, and the people I ride with make it so I can't even hear my own engine. What are some takes on music while riding? Sometimes I find it relaxing and it reminds me of the days when I used to ride my bicycle all over my county before I had a car license. I see some other guys in the group I go out with that pop on the headphones but I haven't really asked anyone about it. Like I said though I love my bike and can never wait to get back on it. I'm desperately looking for good long trips.

Greetings from Vancouver Canada. Well "Newbie" fits me to a T. I have just finished the motorcycle course at PRS in Surrey, BC and have my road test scheduled for July. I have loved bikes my whole life and rode dirt bikes as a kid. I have been doing lots of research online on the different bikes out there and visiting all the dealerships so much they want to start charging me rent. I have finally found the bike for me a 2012 Ninja 650. I cannot find it used and want the 2012 because of the few changes from previous years so I think I will take the hit on the depreciation and buy new.
I have been reading lots of the threads on here and gotta say there are so many talented people on here with many years of experience that I think us Newbies are in good hands.

Hello everyone, New member here. I own a 2011 650r bought it with 495 miles on it in January after I laid down my 90 ninja 600 on a phoenix freeway during rush hour.
I currently have close to 5000 miles on it now. I have been out of work since the accident until the Doctor releases me so I figured I might as well ride..
I participate in quite a few charity rides for the Veterans and other groups that directly reflect our nations veterans. Any Arizona dwellers here? Always looking for people to go riding with..

Hello from Wellsboro, PA. Been signed up here for a couple weeks now just haven't had a moment to write one of these. I been looking around on here and there is a lot of helpful info. I am glad I found this place!. I ride a 2010 Kawasaki Z1000 and it is the greatest investment I have ever made. I bought it back in early April and have been riding it every day that the sun has been out, even when temperatures were as low as 26 degrees out I couldn't stay off of it!. I started riding street about 3 years ago on a 1999 Suzuki Gsx600f Katana. It was an alright bike to start out with but it was way to heavy, and to me just seemed a bit under powered. I have been riding dirtbikes for about 11 years now as well. I bought my Z (named her Maybel) with 4500 miles on it and I have put about 4300 on her since then. I love it and I hope to get a chance to ride with, or at least see some pics of yall's rides on here soon! Anyone near my area ever wants to ride get a hold of me on here and we'll set somethin up I ride down to the Allentown area quite a bit as well!

Hey Everyone. Been riding for 2 years now and just sold the learner (Hyosung GT650 naked) and gone for the best bike for its money - '08 Z750 and loving it, about twice the power of my first bike. Awesome!!
I've been looking around on the forums and learnt some great tips for a few mods already done. However looking for a shove in the right direction or a response....
Looking to swap out the stock 7/8 bars for either the Pro Taper 1 1/8 or the Renthal Fatbars. The shop has said they have the adapters for the stock clamp, but that lifts the bars higher and not the effect I'm going for. There are loads of solid risers out there that give enough clearance from the top of the forks, but there's a little circle indent on the top of the triple clamp where the risers fits, which makes me a bit nervous to fit a larger riser that overlaps the edges of that indent. Any ideas on which risers suit best for the 2008 Z750 would be appreciated.
Cheers all
