Hey there. This is my first post on here. I have a black 2006 M109 and absolutely love it. I've only got about 3700 miles on it, but the bike is a blast to ride. It gets lots of attention, and since I've debadged and destickered mine, lots of folks ask what it is. Of course, I've had people ask if it's the new Vrod, Warrior, etc...lol. Anyway, the only complaint I have is the rear brake tends to squeal a bit, but the dealer is going to replace the floating disc at the 4,000 mile checkup....it has typical Vtwin vibration between 3 and 4,000 rpm's. It takes a few rides to get used to the 240 rear tire....I've since replaced it with a Dunlop 250 Elite 3...the stock grips are junk, I run Iso's and love them. For some, the ride height is a bit too tall, because the pipes are large, and some can't flat foot at stop signs. I lowered my bike with 2.75" lowering bones, and can flat foot easily now. The bike has power to spare, and won't disappoint you at stop light drag races with unwilling victims, lol. Check out www.m109riders.com for tons of insight on the bike. Tell them Chadrob30 sent you! Good luck, and hopefully you'll get the bike...here's a couple of pics of mine:

Just remember if you are a cruiser fan, Suzuki is coming out with a "C" version to run along side the "M" version later this year or early next yr, ala the C109.
It will be interesting to see up close. A cross between the M109R and the Vulcan 2000? AT either rate, it should haul arse.....

Welcome to the forum, BlackM109. Great looking bike! Some de-badged bikes look kinda plain, but I think yours looks better than stock.

myway07 - "Cycle World" magazine did a good comparo of 3 bikes recently, including the M109. Do a search on the web and you should find it. I think the other 2 bikes were the Victory Hammer and a V-Rod, tho I'm not sure which one. Of the 3, however, the Suz. was the most affordable and definitely the most bang for the buck. Good luck in your quest!

    star change

I was surprized to see that Star has put liquid cooling on their new 1300 V-twin.

Go for it man!!! I rode one at bike week & REALLY liked it. If I was in te market for a cruiser the M109R would be at the top of my list. Even with the 240 rear tire it handled REALLy well.
