Tried starting the 89 zx10 after 6 months in storage. Turned twice than a thud. I assume hydrolock. Could any damage be done it never fired and i only gently touch the starter twice...im panicing

It could be that. If the bike had fuel in it and you left the petcock open or it failed or there was some other issue.
Check your oil level. If your oil lever is higher than you put it away, most likely you have fuel leaking into the engine and very possibly as you suggest hyrdo locked. If there's no indication of oil contamination, you could pull the plugs to make sure too. Post some pics of your bike those are classic.
