Well it seems that the administrative changes that were implemented to reduce SPAM have worked!
It's been almost 5 weeks since the last reported case of SPAM on the boards. Now, I realize that doesn't mean our fine Mods haven't had any to deal with. But things seem to be greatly improved!

USS Sturgeon (SSN-637) - 1982-1986
--------------------------
It is a sentiment that submariners of all navies shared. We had long enjoyed a reputation as nonconformists who hated the monotony of fleet service. We disdained the pomp and circumstance of sideboys, buglers, and holystoned teak quarterdecks. We embraced the hardships of life in a steel tube and the go-it-alone missions that submarines were designed to do. We were a fighting elite, and we knew it.

It's working pretty good.

Yes, it's worked very well so far. It does cause a little inconvenience for new users who can't start a new thread for 24 hours after they register, but overall I think it's a positive change since the spam was getting SOOOO bad prior to this!
My little Pic collection
I don't know if this is spam or not, but it seems that when you click on any of the links provided, it takes you to some place where I feel I am being sold something.....it just seems odd seeing as the poster has over 193 posts.
Motorcycle riding is like landing a jet on a carrier.....every time out, it's a controled crash, it's just a matter of how you crash it.
