It is a sentiment that submariners of all navies shared. We had long enjoyed a reputation as nonconformists who hated the monotony of fleet service. We disdained the pomp and circumstance of sideboys, buglers, and holystoned teak quarterdecks. We embraced the hardships of life in a steel tube and the go-it-alone missions that submarines were designed to do. We were a fighting elite, and we knew it.

I found some really bad spam that maybe you guys could block...seems they are spamming people, telling them that their products are better than everyone else's when indeed they fall apart more often, charge almost $100/hour for labor and seems that they started out for real, gnarly, bike-gang types but they are now for middle aged, white collar, retired guys looking to impress people. Thanks!

Motorcycle riding is like landing a jet on a carrier.....every time out, it's a controled crash, it's just a matter of how you crash it.

oh trust me, I am not. My platoon sgt. is one of those Harley guys. His Nighttrain constantly leaks oil all over the place. He told me, "It wouldn't be a Harley if it didn't mark it's territory." I told him, it wouldn't be a Harley if it didn't have problems. Then he told me the local H-D place charged $95/hour for labor, but he'd pay it because it's the H-D place. Then he told me how much he spent on the bike. I just laughed as I can use the money I saved buying my Kawi.

Sounds like your PSG needs to buy a manual. As for the shop hourly rate, just about all the shop rates in this area for any shop ( foreign or domestic)are pretty consitant with his quote. As for your hatred of something other than what you ride, that's something you'll either carry the rest of your life or get over.

Any good PL's and PSG's would be supportive of each other....just because you don't like what's in his MRE doesn't mean you have to eat it also.
