It's has been ridden for 200kms, and going to have a 600km ride this weekend.

I was disappointed that the Ninja didn't have this after having it on my "cheapo" Bandit. I haven't had any soreness, but the smoothness of a fluid system is nice. Please post more details.

Alankao, could you please post a site to purchase the hydraulic clutch?
Thanks, Dennis

I dont see the benefit... Typical hydraulic clutch actually actuates the pressure plates through a caliper - similar to a brake caliper.... All this is actuating is the original mechanism that actuates the pressure plate mechanically... In other words I cant see you getting any better fidelity or accuracy in your throw as you are dependent on the original fundamental design... Of course I am speculating all of this based on the pics.. I would love to see the install procedures!
Hydraulic clutches don't use a caliper.. but they do move a piston at a slave cylinder. It is usually directly behind a push rod which mechanically pushes the pressure plate rather than a pivot arm down from the clutch cover.. but the result is basically the same.
The main advantage to a hydraulic clutch system is to make the pull on the lever easier. You loose the feel you get through the cable for sure. It's not a problem if you commute.. but if you do any spirited riding that involves modulated use of the clutch, it will rob you of the feel you need to get the best feel for the friction point etc. The best hydraulic clutches out there are the radial type, like used on the ZX-14, which translate feel much better to the lever... albeit, still not as good as a cable.
Personally.. I like this bike with a cable. Feeling the take-up is important for sport riding. Still a cool mod though.

If that be the case, (I have been riding a VROD now for 5 years which is hydraulic and am considering a N1K - so I am lurking) seems this mode gives you the best of both worlds from the picture.... My last bike without hydraulic clutch was a CBR600...
I have to say though the hydraulic clutch on my VROD is damn near perfect... but its like comparing apples and oranges..
Anyway... agree.. Real nice mod!....
geez i keep coming back to this. are we ever getting a link to this product? haha

I've had hydraulic clutches on a few of my bikes and didn't really notice any significant lack of feel. It is different but I think it's something you end up getting used to then it becomes normal feeling and you learn to feed in the power differently. It's not a big change or at least wasn't for me. It may be different on the Z1000/N1K? I ride dirt bikes as well that have with hydraulic clutches so clutch modulation and feel are critical and never had any issues there although the clutches are much lighter feeling than say a street bike.
The advantages:
-less maintenance
-no risk of cable breaking
-reduced effort and fatigue
The disadvantegs:
-pricey
-can offer less feel than cable to some but something you can get used to
-more weight
Personally I wouldn't mind a hydraulic clutch for the N1K. I did a google search and so far only ran across some guy on a beneli forum saying he tried a ebay kit on his brothers Z1000 that apperently would not fit on the Beneli as advertised. There is a link to the ebay store site within this link hydraulic clutch conversion kit - Benelliforum- Benelli Discussions. Doesn't look like the same master cylinder as the one ALANKAO used on his Z1000. The slave cylinder looks similar but not exactly the same either.
I did a hydraulic clutch conversion ony my Victory Jackpot and loved it. You can check my youtube channel to see my installation how-to. The same process would apply to say a Z1000 or other bike if you're just curious what all is involved. It's a fairly straight forward process so long as there is a kit that will work for the bike. Victory's have a known problem with snapping cable clutches and it happened to me as I was coming to a stop at a busy intersection. Thankfully I was able to get off the side of the road before possibly having a wreck with the care in front of me. It was a good 'piece of mind' mod if for nothing else, although it was a pricey mod. So that's the main reason why I converted.

Prior to the N1K I had an 06 CBR 1K which had a hydraulic clutch. I hated it. Lack of feel as previously mentioned, major PITA to bleed it & really effort required I felt was actually more. Prior to the CBR I had an 06 GSXR 1K that had a cable clutch which was buttery smooth & usually required only 2 fingers to actuate.
I am glad the N1K has a cable clutch, easy to adjust, easy to replace & no need to worry about the oil going bad. Ever notice the brake fluid in hydraulic clutches are always black?
