Frame slider questions

So I am shopping for frame sliders for my new to me 650. On all my other bikes I opted against the "no cut" variety since I would happily trade a small hole for better protection.

So far I cant find many choices for frame sliders for this bike. Can anyone show me a pic of what you have? I would rather cut than have a cantelevered mount that wants to bend my frame when I crash.

I realize I have made some suppositions that could be wrong so willing to listen to reason.

What year is your bike? Maybe you posted that already. Best to place it in the sig so we don't have to guess or ask. :)

You should just buy my unused ones! :righton:

Go with the Woodcraft ones man. I personally have the Yoshis. Easy install but both times I laid the bike down they just keep breaking at the mount/bolt. My canyon buddy says the same thing from experience, and pretty much all of his track buddies recommend them. There is another thread on this you could check out with pics and what not. Did you install the intiminators?

They should have been here today. Let me check tracking.

EDIT: Just checked. They show "Expected Delivery Day: Wednesday, October 22, 2014
Your item was undeliverable as addressed at 6:20 pm on October 22, 2014 in MASPETH, NY 11378. It is being returned if appropriate information is available." on the website. WTH ?!

That is why I was waiting on the year since options change depending. Not many 3rd gens going to the track yet but who knows. 2nd gen TRex are just plain ugly and heavy whereas 3rd gen are pretty nice. I prefer Woodcraft though.

I second the Woodcraft sliders- requires cutting, but I think they look good and while I've never tested them, I've heard they're one of the better options.

I have heard complaints about Woodcraft also. Too many ways to crash to think anything will always work. I have been happy with mine though.

Get the Woodcraft. As a racer you know trackside support is integral to getting back on track after some oops moments. You are not going to find replacement parts for the other slider brands as quickly, easily, or moderately priced as Woodcraft. Also with the ability to purchase failed components as a separate piece, rather than a whole new unit at full price, is a benefit.

Ok so my bike is an 07. Unseen I guess I am spoiled as a racer but I paid like $40 for my SV sliders so slight sticker shock on hundred clam sliders.

I dont like the whole idea of no cut. (I agree with bran). To me its like buying a helmet made to not mess your hair. No thanks, give me one that works, the fairing is gonna get bashed and fixed anyway. I want my bike saved.

I think all the no cut sliders look pretty heavy duty, utilizing M12 bolts and what not to mount the actual puck. I cant speak for the rest but I will say I wont be using Yoshi sliders after these are done.
