Thanks for the heads up on the rear stand, Twyla. My KREXKEN rear stand is on order... seems to be a real bargain @ $45. Can you do me another favor and tell me where to get those mirror extenders? Thanks. Tom
Go to the zrx forum and scroll down towards the bottom of the page....there is a place where it says "stuff made by fellow rexers" or somthing like that....go in there....I believe they are made by Chuckc, but I'm not positive on that....you'll see them....the title is "mirror extenders" and I think they are $45 a set. They really helped a lot! I can see tons better with them...
Cool on the stand! Did you have to order the spools for the back end for it to fit on? or is it made some other way? My pit bull stand has spools, but they look cool.
My husband is a fanatic about ordering little odds and ends for our bikes. We just got the spools that replace the grips on the passenger seat. They are great because before it was nearly impossible to find a place to hook a cargo net to, but those spools do the trick, so if you haul much stuff around, these are a must have as well!
The rear peg eliminator (exhaust bracket) I have one, but I don't think it is all that great. My husband loves his, but I guess it's just personal preference!
At Twyla's suggestion, I checked out the "products made by ZRXOA members" and found some really good products and ideas from members there. So for those of you ZR7OA members who have recently hopped on the REX, check it out. I've already ordered the rear stand (the rex doesn't have a center stand) and will soon get the mirror extenders so I don't see only my shoulders in the mirrors. There are also spools to replace the grab bars for better tie down and...well, check it out. Tom
I just received my Anderson stand from down under for my 2001 green rex. I figured if it comes from down under then it should be good enough to work "down under" the ZRX swingarm..... OK that was kind of lame.
Anyway, their (Anderson stands) response time was great and so was the service. I ordered gold spools and they responded within 12 hours and said they were out of gold spools but they'd be happy to supply some silver spools for free. I couldn't argue with that. And it shipped quick too.
By the way, this is a cool idea to break out the "other bikes" section into categories. It seems there have been quite a few ZR-7 folks moving on to the ZRX. I can't really see many people moving from the ZR-7 to a cruiser but maybe I'm being narrow-minded.
Side note: I still haven't sold my ZR-7 so I ride that around from time to time just to keep the cobwebs off. It's so cool switching bikes. Makes you appreciate the differences.
Forgot to add that I also ordered some mirror extenders from chuckc at the ZRXOA site. Haven't got them yet. I ordered the purple variety. Maybe they take longer. It sure will be nice to see stuff behind me without scrunching my shoulders/elbows in.

Heinz, I still have my ZR-7 also and I rode mine about 50 miles last Monday, after putting in about 200 miles on the ZRX on Saturday and Sunday. It is a "big" difference -- but not a dissapointing difference as I thought it may be. The ZR-7 is definately a buzzy machine in comparison to the ZRX. What I like about the Rex over the ZR is the feeling of that quiet, yet explosive, movement to 90+ in fifth gear, and I'm not looking for the sixth gear. Another thing I really like is the peg position of the REX. The ZRX is probably 35 pounds heavier than my nekkid 7, but when riding the REX, I don't notice any handling differences. Tom
I like it Crazee. Mine does not have wheels. :mecry: Just how much did that cost you to make, without your labor? I'll be using the one I got from KREXKEN to change oil and filter this weekend and I'll let you know what I think about it. Talk to ya later. Tom
It cost me about $.50 cents. I had to by the bolts and washers that the wheels ride on. I had the iron pipe at the uh, uh, I aquired it! And the wheels came from my wife's old skateboard.
So what your'e saying is...that I paid $44.50 too much for my stand?  That's OK, I can't just "acquire" the material and my son now has a "2 wheel scooter" instead of a skateboard. And I couldn't put it together myself anyway. Later, Tom.
She can't handle this!!:smilewink I pull her behind the ZRX while she rides the skateboard! 130 mph plus! Have you ever seen smoke come from a skateboard? Just kiddin'! She has enough trouble chasin' that little 17 month old beast named Claire. I try not to give her too much grief.
Hey Crazee, post a pic of Claire on your Rex and I'll post a pic of my grandson Talen on my Rex... Talen will be a year old on August 19. And he's walking already....God Bless the children!!
Yup, alive and well. Gonna ride that Rex to the beach on Monday. Stay tuned Crazee, I'm going to get a pic of my 10 month old future rider, my grandson, on the Rex tomorrow and post it for the proud Grandpa to show off. Tom
Nice picture Tom. Bet you're a proud granddaddy. It looks like he's saying "granddad, why aren't you riding that blue ZR-7 instead of this ugly green one?". Just an observation....
 Kelly, it's Black not Green! It's cooler than the Green one, though Crazeecooter and Twyla say it's slower than the Green one. I got news for both of them. My son-in-law says he wants the blue one, so it appears it is staying in the family!!! Tom
